"Jac..." The sound of a familiar voice filling my ears caused me to stir from my slumber, and I slowly opened my eyes to see Four leaning over me, saying my name once more.

I groaned a little and rubbed my eyes, trying to think of why the hell he would be waking me up. It took a moment before the events of last night came flooding back and my chest began to feel heavy with the weight of it all.

"You've got a visitor." Four spoke again, and gestured behind him.

I sleepily sat up and he stepped out of the way to reveal Angelina stood a few metres away, hands on her hips.

"I asked you to get him to delete the footage, not have a fucking slumber party!" She exclaimed.

I groaned again and flopped back down onto Four's bed.

"Don't grunt at me and go back to sleep!" She muttered. "Brains came looking for you this morning, why didn't you go home?!"

"Angelina, she's just woke up.." Four began to speak. "Give her a minute to clear her head."

"Thank you!" I waved my hands out in front of me.

As Four and I had deleted the footage last night, I had realised that I would have to go home to Eric and pretend that everything was fine. I had killed a man just hours before and I had to go home and lie to Eric about what Angelina and I had got up to at the bar. I just didn't have the energy for it. Four had picked up on my mood, and I'd confessed my worries to him before he offered up a place to stay for the night.

Once we'd arrived back at his, he'd suggested that I take a shower to wash off the blood I had on me from the corpse and Angelina, then given me a large shirt to sleep in. He had slept on the floor, and I had slept in his bed, well, at least tried to.

"You were supposed to go home! I had to lie to him and tell him that you were at Talulah's before keeping him distracted right up until his meeting with Max so that he wouldn't go looking for you." Angelina continued. "I had a feeling you'd be here. Of all places! Are you trying to jeopardise your relationship?"

"No, Angelina, I was trying to escape the events of last night." I muttered, sitting up once more. "Or did you forget that I killed someone?"

There was silence. I glanced over at Angelina and she was chewing on her bottom lip anxiously.

"You can't expect me to act like nothing happened. It's a big deal." I told her. "It's gonna haunt me for the rest of my life."

"It gets easier." She finally spoke. "The first is hardest, but the less you think about it, about what you've done, it becomes easier."

"But it shouldn't have to." I mumbled. "We shouldn't have to be killing people."

"It's just the way it is, Jac. Especially now." Angelina sighed. "We'll discuss this later on. Not here." She glanced at Four and I knew that he was the reason she wasn't going to talk to me.

"Okay."

"I bought you some clothes, figured you'd need them." She pulled something black out of her shoulder bag and chucked them over to me. "Breakfast ends in twenty minutes, so you'll need to hurry if you want food."

I nodded and picked up the clothes.

Angelina turned to Four. "How're you getting on with the two initiates?"

"They're learning quickly. I don't think that it'll be an issue in their tests, though they haven't started the landscapes yet."

Angelina nodded. "You're doing good, Four. Keep going. I finally managed to meet with my contacts yesterday afternoon, they're going to be prepared to help if any of them appear to struggle over the next week."
