Wrong Decisions to Right Paths

Chapter 14

I could hear the faint sounds of talking from outside the room. I am feeling so embarrassed, how come I never realized that I was bought in the room without my knowledge. And I slept so late maybe it's evening now. How am I going to face everyone.

I went to the washroom. I have to at least clean myself before going outside.

The sight of the washroom was asking me to take a quick shower but I still have to open my luggage. So I just opened my purse for the basic necessities. I brushed and cleaned my face. Then I combed my hair. Now I was looking presentable.

I hurriedly clean the bed in which I was sleeping. And with lots of courage I opened the door.

I saw my mom and Nandini Aunty sitting which seemed like a living area. As soon as they hear the door close behind me they looked towards me.

" Radhika I hope you are feeling better now. Come and sit with us." Nandini Aunty asked me pointing towards the seat beside her.

I smiled with assurance that I am feeling better now. And I took the seat beside her. My mom was sitting on the other side.

" There are few changes. All thanks to Arjun. But I am hoping that you would be able to convince him. He wants to get married in one week but you know it's really hard. Initially as you know we have decided in a months time. Samaira have to change the whole plan then." Nandini Aunty asked me with pleading eyes.

But it was like a shock cum surprise for me. In a week's time will be too overwhelming for me. I was out of words.

" No one can change my mind," I heard from behind me. It's Arjun of course.

Here the discussion was going on between everyone. I was quite the whole time. I was feeling hungry but I guess no one is bothered that I haven't eaten anything but still I kept quite and concentrated on the discussion before me.

Arjun wanted to get married in a week's time. Nandini Aunty was not ready for the sudden change. She gave the reason about preparation but Arjun was step ahead and he was readying everything from the past six months. My mom and dad were not ready because of the jetlag I will be experiencing for a week or so. I have to be fresh for my wedding. I have to get used to the living here.

" Can I say something?" I asked very politely and as soon as I asked everyone's attention was on me.

" I think..... Umm we should stick to the plan..... For everyone's convenience." I told Arjun with much hesitation.

" But what about my convenience, my plans, my desperation. After all it's my wedding." I did not expect this reply from Arjun. Now I was out of words but still politely I replied.

" It's my wedding too." I said confidently.

The look Arjun gave me was something I haven't seen before. But one thing was clear that it was not a good look.

Arjun stood up and went to the room in which I was sleeping earlier and closed the door.

Now I was feeling really bad. Did I took the right decision. I was confused now. My mom and dad gave me an assuring nod that everything will be ok. Nandini Aunty seem quite now then she looked at me and said.

" Don't worry his anger is temporary. Well come and eat something. We will talk tomorrow." She smiled towards me and took me to the kitchen.

My mom and dad were talking among themselves and I could not hear them as I was in the kitchen with Nandini Aunty. But I could feel that they were having some heated argument going on.

Until morning everything seem so perfect but now I don't know.
