Chapter 22

I felt a light kiss on my forehead and I opened my eyes to see my husband staring me with adoration.

I gave him a genuine smile. He had been a very understanding person last night. No rush for consummation but we both got comfortable with each other's presence now. A slight nervousness is still there but I think I started liking him.

" Why don't you go and freshen up. We have to meet your parents, they are leaving with Riddhima." Arjun asked me. I have to agree that I forgot about that. Who cannot after such a beautiful night.

After I took bath and came out Arjun was already with the breakfast. We ate the breakfast together and Arjun went to take bath. Until then I started to get ready.

My mom and dad gave me the blessings. Riddhima could not believe that we did not consummate the marriage but still she was happy for me. I gave my love to Pari.

It was a short visit as they had to leave to catch the flight. And we came back to our apartment.

When we came back Nandini Aunty and Samaira with kids were already there. Neil had to go back Virginia because of some work.

" Arjun I hope you don't mind Samaira staying here?" Nandini Aunty asked Arjun.

" Why would I mind? And I know Radhika will also not mind." Arjun said with a smile looking at me.

" Of course I don't mind. It's your house Arjun and...." Arjun cut me off

" Our house Radhika." Arjun said sternly. And I obliged as I have never seen such an expression on him before.

" I am sorry Radhika, I know you both are newly Weds and I have some plumbing work going on at my place otherwise I would have not bothered you both." Nandini Aunty said.

" No it's okay Aunty. Is the plumbing work a lot. If you want you can stay too until the work is done." I said and with a question mark I looked at Arjun for assurance to which he just grabbed be by my waist and kissed my forehead.

" As Radhika says.." Arjun replied huskily and I blushed profusely.

I am lucky that I did not get married into a joint family. I am very scared about joint families. But for few days I can manage of course.

" Thank you Radhika. It was such a long time I visited mom and Arjun that I had to stay for few days to make up for it." Samaira said with a smile.

Then Arjun had to go for some work and he promised me that he will come as early as possible.

Later that day Nandini Aunty prepared some dishes and side by side explained me how Arjun likes his food to be prepared and what all he likes and dislikes. Samaira was happy to eat the food prepared by her mother after such a long time and I know I am also going to miss my mom real soon.

" Radhika where are you?" I heard Arjun's voice when I was arranging few things in our room. Then I heard Nandini Aunty's voice.

" Arjun why don't you go and freshen up. I have prepared your favorite food."

" No mom actually..." Arjun started I felt he was hesitant.

I stopped myself from going out because I did not wanted to come in between there conversation.

" Mom as you know we are not going to honeymoon so I wanted to dine outside with Radhika and stay the night in the suite we booked." Arjun said and I could feel the pleading in his voice.

" I am sorry I did not knew about your plans otherwise I would have not prepared so much food. But it's ok I will keep it in the refrigerator. You can eat tomorrow." Nandini Aunty said. I felt a relief I don't know why I was feeling that she did not like the idea of Arjun. Maybe I am overthinking.

" Mom thank you. Please make yourself comfortable we will come tomorrow by evening. And where is Samaira?" Arjun asked.

" Oh Samaira and kids are doing FaceTime with Neil. I will talk to Samaira that you won't able to spend time with her today or tomorrow and I am sure she will understand." Nandini Aunty said, I don't know why I feel kind of bitterness in it.

I don't know when Samaira came and joint the conversation.

" Of course newly Weds are allowed to spend time together whenever they get time. Arjun I don't mind at all. I will have mom all for myself." Samaira said and I could feel that she was easing the situation.

I came out slowly.

" Radhika go and get ready. And wear these." Arjun said while handling me few bags he was holding. And I excused myself to ready myself.

Arjun bought a beautiful golden dress with matching heels. In other box he kept a beautiful topaz stone necklace and earrings.

I got ready and after saying good byes we left. In the car Arjun started the conversation.

" Are you ready to consummate the marriage? I will understand if you are not comfortable." Arjun asked.

Initially I could not reply. One day or the other we have to do it I know. I don't want to withhold him off his rights as a husband. I know he had his needs. But is freaking about this normal? I asked myself.

" Arjun I am ok and it will be my first time." I replied to Arjun but I was freaking inside.

" It will be my first time as well." Arjun said.

I don't know why but I felt so happy hearing that. I will be his first and he will be my first.

" Someone told me that if you are expecting something from your partner then you have to make yourself as expected as well." Arjun said with a smile. I smiled in return.

Arjun stopped outside a beautiful restaurant. And before going inside he whispered in my ear.

" Even if you were not ready to consummate I would have seduced you."
