"It's a deal."

A laugh was heard throughout the forest. "Oh, Harrison. Haven't you learned not to make deals with demons?" Shadow teasingly asked.

"Wait, what-" Harrison started to object, but Shadow was quick. With a flash of light, the demon was inside the magic boy. "Ahh!! You said you'd help me!" Harrison yelled.

"No. I'm not helping you. I'm just going to make your life a living hell. And, a few people might die...." Shadow explains. Harrison felt a sharp pain in his abdomen, and he doubled over.

"Now, let's go back to your little friend's house. I'd love to meet her personally...." The demon says. Harrison stood up, his eyes fully black, with the slightest red in the middle. He started walking back to Nerris' house.

He climbed through the window, the same way he got out. Nerris was sitting on her bed panicking.

"Harrison!! Holy shit you scared the living mana out of me!!" She yelled. Nerris got up and hugged him.

Harrison tried to say something, a warning, but Shadow completely took over. "Oh, I'm sorry Nerris. I just needed some fresh air." The magic boy said, but it wasn't him, the voice was much deeper.

"Um, Harrison? Are you okay? You sound sick." The Elfkin asks, pulling away from the hug. Her friend finally took over. "Nerris!! Nerris you need to leave!!" He yelled at her.

"What? Seriously, do you need a doctor?" Nerris carefully puts a hand on Harrison's shoulder.

"No! Nerris, he's taking over, run!" He said shaking, trying to fight off Shadow. His eyes were flashing between green, and black.

Then they went fully black, with red pupils. Shadow grabbed Nerris' hand, that was on his shoulder. "Such a shame. He really liked you....." He said with a laugh.

"W-what? Let go of me! And, whoever you are, bring my real friend back!" Nerris hissed at him.

With his other hand, Shadow produced a blade from thin air. Nerris struggled to get her hand free. He let go, and she fell to the floor. Shadow aimed the blade directly above her.

"Harrison! Listen to me! I know you're in there!" Nerris yelled.

In response, Shadow let his weapon swing down, but Nerris blocked. She managed to grab her sword.

"You're strong, for one so little." Shadow teased. Nerris yelled out, his blade kept inching closer to her face.

"Come you magic idiot! You're not seriously going to let me die, are you?!" She said. Eventually, Nerris started giving up, knowing the real Harrison wasn't coming back.

Shadow picked up his weapon at the sight of Nerris. She dropped her sword against the floor. "Maybe you aren't as strong as I thought....." He said, bringing down the blade.

But he only nicked her arm. "Well this has been fun. I'll come back to visit soon enough." Shadow said, giving Harrison control. But the demon wasn't done yet. He stabbed his side with no more than air.

Nerris managed to get up, holding her arm in pain. Her friends eyes were normal again. Harrison fell into Nerris' one good arm.

"Harrison! Oh my God, are you okay?" She asked. He slowly nodded, but Nerris noticed he was shaking. She layed him down on her bed. "Are you sure?" She asked again.

This time, Harrison shook his head. There was black liquid soaking through his shirt and vest. "What is that.....?" Nerris asked herself. Her friend winced in pain. "Can I look? I want to make sure you aren't hurt." She asked.

Harrison nodded. Nerris took off his vest, and carefully lifted up his shirt. There was a stab wound, but it wasn't blood coming out. Nerris ran to the bathroom and grabbed a roll of bandages.

She started slowly wrapping Harrison's torso. The magic boy had passed out from pain. Once Nerris was done, she picked up her phone to call someone.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Preston. You were friends with Harrison at camp, right?"

"Uh, yeah? Nerris, why are you calling me so late?"

"I need you to come over to my house, stat."

"You sound worried, and why were you talking about Harrison? Doesn't he live somewhere else?"

"Preston stop arguing and get over here!!"

Nerris hung up the phone, and quietly sat next to Harrison. About twenty minutes later, someone knocked on her room window. It was Preston.

Once he was inside, Nerris started explaining.

"Okay, so I was getting on the bus for school and Harrison was there. He said he had just moved. He stood up for me when Peter and his gang started bullying me again. But he took it a little to far and temporarily made Peter disappear. I ran back here to think about my life, when Mrs.Blu calls and asks me to come back regarding Harrison. Once I get back to school, Harrison, his parents, my parents, Mrs.Blu, and Peter were there.

Harrison's parents didn't want to bring him home, so he asked if he could stay with me for the school year.
We said yes. We got everything settled in, and we went to sleep. But apparently Harrison didn't. He snuck out to God knows where. I woke up to go to the bathroom, and noticed he was gone. I started freaking out, because I looked everywhere in the house. He finally came back, but, it wasn't him....." She said.

"What do you mean it wasn't him?" Preston asked, getting excited at the drama.

"It was like he was.... possessed... I yell at him for leaving, when he responded his voice was deeper, not his. A put a hand on his shoulder and he grabbed it. Harrison was trying to tell me to run, that he was taking over. I didn't know what he meant. He let go of my hand and I fell back. He then produced a blade out of no where and tried to kill me. The demon finally left, when he did, I noticed that Harrison's eyes were changed. They were black with red pupils." Nerris finished.

Preston slowly nodded his head.

"And then look at this." She said, motioning toward Harrison laying on the bed. Nerris carefully lifted the bandages, showing the wound.

"How could that have possibly happened? And why is his blood black?" Preston questioned.

The Elfkin shrugged. "I don't know. But when he was possessed, he said some things. That, Harrison really liked me." She said with a blush.

"That isn't important woman!" Preston yells jokingly, shaking Nerris' shoulders. They both laugh.

"So why'd you call me over? I was getting my beauty sleep!" Preston said.

"Well, I needed someone to help me out. That thing, whatever it was, said it was going to come back. And I don't think it'll have mercy this time." Nerris explains.

Preston nodded. Nerris let the theater kid sleep on Harrison's air mattress. She scooted Harrison over to the inside part of her bed, and layed down on the outside.

At that, Preston and Nerris fell asleep.
