"I killed Peter."

Nerris looked like she'd seen a ghost. "You did what?!" yelled.

Agh! Why'd you tell her?! We had a deal! And now that you didn't do what I told you to do....... Shadow's words echoed in Harrison's mind. He held his head, as his demon was trying to take over.

"Nerris....it's not the time. School is over.....we need to get back to your house quick...." He said. Nerris wanted for her friend to explain, but she knew what was about to happen.

"O-okay.....come on. We'll take the short cut..." She said, steadying Harrison. They walked speedily to Nerris' house.

Once they were there, Nerris practically had to carry her friend inside. As soon as Harrison was sitting on Nerris' bed, she called Preston.

"Nerris! I was worried about you! Is Harrison there?"

"Yeah, he is. Except we have a problem. I'll tell you the full story once you get over here. Just, please hurry."

"I'll be there quicker than I can recite Shakespeare!"

Preston hung up the phone. Nerris ran to her friend, who looked in pain. "Nerris....you've got to trust me.....I did what I did for a good reason..... I shouldn't have told you... I-" Harrison began to apologize, but Nerris separated the space between them with a kiss.

She emedietly pulled away, "Listen Harrison. I don't care why you did it. And," Nerris blushed a dark red, "I like you too...."

They both smiled. There was a knock on the window. Nerris opened it, and Preston leaped inside. "So what's the situation?" He asked.

The girl looked at Harrison, he gave a nod. "Well, Harrison sort of...killed Peter... And now Shadow is trying to take him over. I'm guessing it was because he told me..." She explained.

"Oh...and a worthy mention.....me and Nerris are officially together...." The magic boy said with a smirk.

"Not the time Harrison!" Preston yelled playfully. All of them laughed, then Harrison went back into pain.

"Guys....He's about to take over...I can't stop it.....please," The magic boy motioned Preston over, "Please keep her safe....."

The theater kid nodded, and stepped back next to Nerris. Harrison hissed in pain, as his eyes went to red and black.

"Oh what a pleasure it is to see you two again. Now that you know my boy's secret, I must kill you. Nothing personally, really." Shadow said as if it was no big deal.

Nerris grabbed her sword, ready for an attack. And Preston grabbed whatever was closest, which happened to be a lamp.

"Nerris, it is quite lovely to see you again. It seems you are now in a relationship with Harrison. Such a shame. The only reason he killed Peter, was to protect you. It doesn't look like that plan worked out well." The demon said menacingly.

That took Nerris off guard. Harrison killed Peter, for me? She thought. Shadow took that as a time to strike. He produced the same blade he had before, and slicing down her arm.

She yelped in pain, and blocked his next move the best she could. Preston tried hitting him over the head with the lamp, but Shadow threw him across the room, where he lay unconscious.

"There is no way you can win this, little girl. After I kill you and the other one, Harrison will be next. And there's nothing. You can do. To stop me." The demon said.

"No. You won't kill me, or anyone else! I will make sure of that." Nerris said, she could barely compete against Shadow's strength.

He laughed, and tried striking Nerris again. She quickly blocked. "You can't keep this up forever. You'll tire out and that's when you'll be mine for killing. And anyway, you wouldn't dare hurt Harrison, would you?" Shadow asked teasingly.

Nerris didn't want to hurt her friend, but she might have to in order to save her own life. How long can I keep this up....She thought.

Their blades clashed not much longer. The girl started getting tired, her reflexed slower. Shadow took this as an advantage, his attacks were faster and more complicated.

Nerris finally went down, Shadow pinning her arms to the floor. "Looks like I was right. It was a pleasure fighting you. You are very skilled. It's shame I have to kill you now." He said.

She girl struggled against her opponent. "Why couldn't you just take your part in the deal?! Harrison needed help, and he thought he could put trust in you!" Nerris hissed.

The demon laughed, "You do care for him. Now his face will be the last thing you ever see."

A tear slid down Nerris' cheek. No.... I can't die....She thought. Preston was barely conscious enough to talk, "N-Nerris...." He stuttered.

Shadow switched his long blade, for a short knife. He ran it along Nerris' uninjured arm, slightly cutting it. She winced, unable to get up.

"Enough wasting time, we need to get this over with-" Shadow started to say, then his eyes flashed to normal, "Nerris! Nerris, please you have to fight him. I'm doing the best I can but- agh!"

Shadow got off of the girl, holding his head. Both him and Harrison were yelling at each other.

Until Shadow took form outside of the boy. Harrison fell over, also unconscious. "You've been a pain in my side for far too long, girl!" He said.

Shadow still looked like Harrison, just darker. He still held his knife. Nerris got up, she was bleeding on both arms, and bruises were starting to appear.

"You don't know how much you've been a pain to me. And my friends. Now, I have to problem hurting you." She said, charging at Shadow. He easily dodged, and kicked her in the back, causing her to fall.

Shadow pinned Nerris again, putting her hands behind her back. He ran his knife along her back, making her wince. "Goodbye, sweet Nerris." Shadow said, raising the blade above her back.

Harrison gained consciousness, and saw what was happening. "Nerris! No!" He yelled, stretching his hand out to her. She was close enough to grab her friends hand.

Nerris smiled at him, tears falling from her eyes. Harrison had enough strength to stand up, and tackle his demon. "You won't hurt anyone anymore!" He yelled, producing his own knife, and positioning it above Shadow.

"No! Please! I can still help you! You won't be able to control your magic without me! What about your brother? You'll never get him back! You'll never feel the guilt leave you from making him disappear!" Shadow screamed.

The magic boy had tears in his eyes, "I don't care! You were a burden, and you know it! You didn't even hold up your part of the deal! You made me kill someone! It's over, you're done." He said.

Then he brought the knife down, straight into his demon. Little did Harrison know, he fell right into Shadow's plan. The demon shattered, the pieces going into all three of the kids.

Preston awoke, startled. All of them looked at each other, all thinking,

what have we done?

(A/N: Oh noooo!! What have these three gotten themselves into? Hope you liked it!)
