Nerris lead Harrison into her "lair". The magic boy looked around, the room wasn't decorated how he expected it to be.

"What? Did you expect me to have an actual dragon?" Nerris asked teasingly to her friend.

Harrison shook his head. "It's more colorful than I expected." He explained. Nerris' room was many shades of purple, green, blue, and gray.

The Elfkin laughed. "So I guess I'm forgiven?" Harrison asked her nervously. Nerris responded with a nod of her head. Harrison hesitated before hugging Nerris. "Sorry I got in your way. I should've listen to you. I just hated that those kids were being mean to my friend."

"It's.....okay, Harrison. I'm just not used to anyone sticking up for me..." Nerris said, hugging back.

Both of the kids smiled, then started blushing a light pink. Harrison pulled away from the hug first. "Umm....where should I put my things?" He asked.

"Hmm, let's see, over here." Nerris said, showing Harrison a spot by the end of her bed. He sets down his bag.

Someone knocks on the door. "Nerris, honey, can I come in?"

"Yes Mom." Nerris responds, opening the door. Her mother walks in, and sits on her bed.

"Now, you know you're in trouble, Nerris. Why'd you leave school?" She asked.

Nerris sat.down next to her mom, and replied, "Because I'm getting bullied, Mom. And I'm being harassed to my breaking point."

Harrison nodded in agreement. "It's true, ma'am. I saw it. And that's why I was in the office. I was protecting Nerris." He explained.

Her mother nodded. "Thank you Harrison. And Nerris, you should've told your dad and I."

"I'm sorry Mom. I was scared they'd do something worse if I told someone." Nerris said.

"Okay. If it continues, come and tell me." Nerris' mom replied, planting a kiss on her daughter's forhead. Once her mother left, Harrison sat next to Nerris.

"So, what do you do for fun here?" He asked. Nerris didn't really know. All she did was play Dungeons and Dragons. "Not much. Just DnD. What do you do at your house?" The Elfkin replied.

Harrison shrugged. "I'm not aloud to practice my magic for .  .  . certain reasons." He explained.

"Well know is the time! You can practice after school!" Nerris said, as Harrison was going to be staying with her.

"I'm not sure if that's a good idea Nerris." He said, thinking of his brother. His friend nudged him with her elbow. "Come on. Show me some real magic! Not that stuff you did at camp." She said, trying to convince Harrison.

He wasn't scared he'd disappoint Nerris, he was scared he'd hurt her. Just like his brother. ".  .  .fine. I'll do some magic. But only small stuff." Harrison gives in. Nerris does a small freak out, and she gently pushes her friend off the bed.

"Show me then!" She yells, clapping her hands.

Harrison sighs, and starts his trick. He produced a ring of fire in front of him, like he did at camp. But, he shaped his creation into a fire dove.

"Woah!! That's awesome Harrison!" Nerris exclaims.

Harrison forces the dove toward her. But when Nerris reaches out to touch it, the flame doesn't burn her.

"How.....?" Nerris asks in awe.

"A magician never reveals his secrets." Harrison says with a wink. At that action, both of the kids have a light blush creeps onto their cheeks.

"You wanna see another trick?" He asks. Nerris violently shook her head 'yes'. "Okay, then lay down here in the middle of the floor." Harrison explains, as Nerris does so.

"Okay. Don't freak out. But I'm going to make you float in the air." He instructs. She nods, and lays still. With only a slight wave of hand, he made his friend float around the room.

"Oh my God Harrison! You are amazing!" Nerris says, swimming through the air. Harrison adjusted his vest. "Oh I know." He says with a smirk.

"Yeah yeah okay. Now get me down!" She says with a laugh. Harrison waves his hand once more.  .  . but Nerris doesn't come down. "Um, I said get me down!" The floating Elfkin yells.

"It's not working! I'm trying!" Harrison yells in reply. He keeps waving his hand it motion, but nothing happens. "This is exactly what I was afraid of! I shouldn't have don't it in the first place!" He hisses.

"Try and pull me down!" Nerris suggests. Harrison shakes his head. "It'll just float you higher. I invented this trick Nerris. That means if you float out of this room, you'll go to space." He explains.

"Well why didn't you do this to Space Kid?!" Nerris yells. Neither of them was thinking straight. Harrison wanted to fix what he had done.

After about two hours of Nerris floating around, she falls. "Ah!" She yells as she hits the floor.

"Oh thank God." Harrison sighs in relief. "Now do you see why I didn't want to do it?"

Nerris nods. "Sorry for pushing you. Just never do that trick again." She says. They both laugh, then get ready for bed. Harrison was sleeping on a blow up mattress on Nerris' floor. But he wasn't going to be sleeping very much.

After his Elfkin friend went to sleep, Harrison snuck out, going to the forest. He had a deal to make.

Once he knew that no one was within ear shot, Harrison started chanting. After the chant was done, a shadow larger than life appeared in front of Harrison.

"So you finally gave in, huh?" The shadow says. The magic boy nods. "I'm tired of hurting all my friends. You better keep your end of the deal, you help me get my brother back. And you'll help me control my magic." Harrison hissed.

A deep, menacing, laugh echos through the forest. "It's a deal. And don't forget my end, I get to stay with you for the rest of your life. If you fail to complete the action, it won't be good for you. By the way, you don't know my name, call me Shadow." Shadow says to Harrison.

"It's a deal."

(A/N: Please give me suggestions from here on. I have the plot layed out, but I need extra details! I might even add a couple of Camp Camp OCs ;). I might be making a one-shot book as well, so if you have a suggestion for that, feel free!)
