~james pov~

jaiden was still acting weird. i noticed but everytime i brought it up she would just say she was ok. was she getting back into her old habits? hopfully not. i think ill visit her today.

james knocked on the door of her dorm room and her roomate, sadie, answered.

sadie: "oh hey james whats up"

james: "hey is jaiden there?"

sadie: "no sorry shes with her boyfriend"

james: "oh ok- wait what? boyfriend?"

sadie: "yeah didnt she say anything?"

james: "no"

sadie: "oh well if you wanna ask her anything their at the diner and she'll be back around 9:30"

james: "ok thanks sadie"

sadie: "anytime"

~james pov~

boyfriend? why didnt she tell me? why wouldnt she tell her best friend? did she replace me. is it cuz of what happened and couple years ago? she has been hanging out with me less. she been more busy on the weekends.

james thought flowed through his head as he went to his car to drive home. he figured he could go back at 9:30 to ask what happened.

time skip to 9:30

james woke up and at the perfect timing to. he had fallen asleep watching youtube and drawing. he got up fixed himself up a little and drove to jaidens college. when he got there he knocked on the door and jaiden answered while sadie was asleep.

james: "hey jaiden"

jaiden: "hey is something wrong why are you here so late?"

james: "oh um well i wanted to talk to you about something"

jaiden: "oh ok um come in but we gotta be quiet sadies sleeping"

james: "ok thanks"

james and jaiden sat down on the purple bed and started talking

jaiden: "ok so whats up"

james: "ok umm so are you dating someone?"

jaiden: "w-what yeah but why?"

james: "well youve been acting different latly so i came by earlier to talk to you but sadie answered said you were out with your boyfriend."

jaiden: "well um yeah his name is rylan and hes a really nice sweet guy. im sorry for not telling you i thought you would be jelous but i shouldve told you sooner."

james: "oh no it fine its your life. im not jelous at all im so happy for you!"

jaiden: "r-really! thanks"

james: "no problem. um its getting kinda late i think im gonna go now. thanks for telling me."

jaiden: "oh ok um your welcome bye see ya."

james: "see ya"

james walked to his car and drove home. when he got to his house he went straight to his room and threw himself on the bed.

~james pov~

why do i feel like this. i feel weird like knowing the fact that jaidens with someone. am i jelous? no its not like i have a crush on her. but why does it hurt. ugh i just want this feeling to go away!

after that james fell asleep listening to his thoughts. meanwhile with jaiden.

~jaidens pov~

oh my gosh why is the feeling still there. i thought that if i was with someone i liked i could get over james. i guess not. its been years why cant i get over him. its not like i can be with him we're best friends and being in a relationship would just mess everything up. plus im rylans girlfriend now. we're happy together. right?

soon after jaiden also drifted off to sleep while her thoughts were mid sentence.

big time skip cuz im lazy

its been 4 years jaiden finished college and got her degree and was still with rylan. james also got a girlfriend named emma. they met at the  mall while in a ridiculesly long line. they started talking and soon became a couple. he told jaiden this and she congradulated them. jaiden who had just started youtube got an apartment with rylan while james who now does youtube full time now could afford to buy a small two room house to share with emma. once the four all got settled into their new lives they decided to all meet up for dinner.
