Chapter 8

 Avery's Point Of View

After soccer practice, went for a quick shower and then go back to my locker to get dress up.

My clothes are missing.

Oh steaks.

"Well, Evans." Isaac push me against the lockers. "Get away from me." I say to him, gulping.

"Aren't you pretty?" He chuckles, looking from head to toe. I was wrapped in a towel, my sports bra straps are showing.

"Hey Walter, isn't my warning enough?!" Isaac was then pull back, "why are you protecting to her?" Isaac asks Eugene.

Yeah, why is he?

"Shut up, Walter! And get the fuck away from her!" Eugene push him to the exit. Eugene then look at me, "here, I found your clothes." Eugene pass me. I took it in my hands. Then I stare at him.

"Sorry." He turns around and walk to the other side. I put on my hoodie and then slid on my jeans. "I am done." I call out, Eugene then stood in front of me.

"Are you okay?" He asks, I nodded in response. "You sure?" He asks. "Yeah.." I say, smiling slightly.

"And erh, I can't drive you home today."

"It's fine." I say, shrugging slightly. Then 4 seconds of awkward silence.

"Bye." He breathes out, taking a step towards me. I thought he would just kiss me on the forehead or cheek, but he kissed me on the lips.

My eyes widen, my grip tighten around the strap of my bag. His lips tasted so soft and.. Nice. He pulls away, "bye.." I muttered. He smiles and walks away.

My cheeks is literally felt on fire. I could not stop myself from smiling.

I just lost my first kiss and I wasn't really expecting it at all.

And the guy who kissed me a while ago, it's my crush.

Holy steaks, is this a dream?

;

I stood in front of my mirror, the blade in my right hand.

My body is so odd looking.

Then I heard a few knocks, I quickly walk out. I open my room door, nobody. "Avery!" I turn to my window, "Eugene?" I slowly walk over to the window. I open the window and he got in.

The blade is still your hand, Avery!

I put my hands in the pockets of my hoodie, "Eugene. There's a thing call a front door." I say jokingly. "Er yeah, I am just scared that your parents won't let me in." He says.

Parents.

I shook my head, smiling slightly. "They're not at home."

Pretend you have a happy family.

"Oh okay." He says, licking his lips. "Why are you here?" I asks, changing the subject immediately. "Er, I just realize that I took your first kiss away and.." He stops and then look at me.

I slowly raised my right brow, "Avery, what's wrong?" He got closer to me. "What?" I look up at him.

"Why did you cry?" He put both of his hands on my cheeks. "No, I didn't." My eyes immediately well up with tears, blurring my vision.

I'm so stupid.

"It's nothing." I say, smiling slightly. "Avery, your hoodie has blood." He says, grabbing my upper left arm. Then the blade fell out of it's pocket.

"Oh gosh, erm. Eugene, I think you should go." I say, picking up the blade. He then pull up my left sleeve, my wrist is bleeding.

Tears were rolling down my cheeks slowly, "Avery.." He whispers. He takes the blade from my hand, "come on, let's get you clean up."

;

Eugene didn't asked for an explanation, I didn't even bother to explain. They will just end up leaving like those other people I told everything to.

After he cleaned me up, we said our goodbyes. He left a soft kiss on my forehead. I went into the kitchen to see if Dad did stock up the groceries.

And obviously, he didn't. He only stock up his beers.

I grab my wallet, keys and phone. I went out of the house, the cold air hitting me. I locked the front door and went to the grocery store which is quite close by.

I step into the store, seeing familiar faces around me. I took the black basket and went section to section.

"Hey Avery." Zach smiles at me when I was at the meat section. "Hey Zach." I flash back a slight smile at him.

"Hey Zach, I got.." Eugene stops mid-sentence when he saw me. "Got your hellokitty toothbrush." Eugene continues his sentence.

I raise my eyebrows at Zach, "it's for my sister." He says. "You don't have a sister." Eugene stated. I bite down my lips, holding back my smile.

"It's the only toothbrush available!" Zach exclaims at me, "okay, okay." I say, smiling slightly.

"Oh hey Evans." Sam smiles at me. "Eugene, stop staring at her." Zach says, Eugene's cheeks redden. "Shut up, Zachary." Eugene snaps at him, walking away. "Bye Evans, see you tomorrow!" Sam and Zach quickly catch up with Eugene.

It's okay to not love me.
Because I don't love myself either.

It's okay to hate me.
Because I really hate myself.
