Chapter 10
Avery's Point Of View
I dreamt of you last night.
I don't remember any of it.
But I knew you were there.I step into literature class, feeling kinda of nervously excited. We all sat down in silence, Eugene was singing songs with one of hit basketball teammates, making people laugh when they hit the high notes. Their singing was horrid.
I bite my lips to refrain myself from smiling or laughing. "Okay, enough." The teacher says, silencing them both.
"Okay, so we will be talking about wars." The teacher shows slides on the screen.
"Firstly, we will talk about depression." He says, clicking on the next slide.
"I don't why there is quite a few of people who is sad when there is war out there, people who are starving. Who are thirsty, who doesn't have a home. And there is this few people, who cut themselves just because of stupid things. There is no reason to be sad. People out there has much of a worser life than anyone."
The teacher took a pause when Eugene raise up his hand.
"Yes, Mr Hunter?" Eugene took a breath, "it's like saying we can't be happy when other people are happier."
Oh burn.
;
"Hey Coach Anderson," I approach him, "hey Evans!" He smiles at me. "Here's your jersey," he pass me my jersey.
"Uh Coach." I mumbled, looking down at it. "I was going to quit." I say, "what?" He looks at me with shock.
"I just have too much to handle." I say, coming up with an excuse. "Okay, how about I give you a break? Like two weeks or so." He suggested.
"Uh yeah, that would be good." I agree, unsure about it.
Then I left to the hallway, stuffing my jersey into my bag. "Hey Avery." Eugene approach me. I breathe in then I breathe out to push away the blush.
Learnt it from the internet.
"Hey." I fake a smile at him. "So erh, there's this basketball game tomorrow night." He says, scratching the back of his head awkwardly.
Why must he be so cute?
"And, every guy is bringing their.. Girls and guys along. And wearing their jerseys, and I was wondering if you want to.. Come with me?" He asks, grinning awkwardly.
He's so adorable.
Wait, bringing their girls and guys?
Holy steaks.
"Come on, Avery." Eugene bumps me playfully, I smile at him. "Okay." I mumbled.
"Okay, then it's set. I will pass you my jersey tomorrow." He give me a quick kiss on lips and ran off. My eyes widen, people in the hallway didn't notice anything.
Well, that was lucky.
I put my hand over my lips, I bite lips down hardly so i can't smile. People will think that i am psycho. Well, I am because it runs in my family.
But then people don't really like psychos.
"Hey Evans! Can you help out?" Zach asks, trying to catch his breath. "Erm yeah, sure. With what?" I asks, he grabs my wrist and drag me into girls locker room.
"Jordan, Chloe's best friend is in there crying because Chloe did something to her but I don't know why but please go help her." He says.
"Why me?"
