Avery's Point Of View

Coach Carter made us run a few more rounds than usual, Reece lost a competition pretty badly. Reece was in a bad mood that day, so he didn't even try to win. 

Coach Carter doesn't like people who doesn't try at all. 

We did a lot of workout today, and I don't feel really good. I just want to go home and go to sleep. I step into the bus, and saw Isaac who is sitting at the back. I went to my usual seat. 

I put in my earpiece, and I felt someone sat next to me. 

I look at Isaac, my heart pounding with fear. 

I took out one earpiece and look at him. "Why do you like Eugene?" He asks, "I don't like Eugene." I stated, frowning a little. 

"Then why are you talking to him?" He asks, "because we're best friends." I say, shrugging. 

"Wow, you're going to get hurt so bad." He laughs, I raise my eyebrows at him. "Yep, Hunter knows what he is doing." Isaac smirks and went down the bus.

; Next Morning

Thursday. I can't wait for the weekends, I am so tired. 

"Hey Beautiful." Eugene stood beside me, "hey." I smile slightly at him. "So did anything happen during training yesterday?" He asks. 

"Nope." I replied, putting my phone in my pocket. "No?" His eyebrows furrowed, "uh huh." I nodded. 

I look at his bruises and small cuts on his face, he is still beautiful. 

Oh steaks, gotta stop thinking about it or I will blush. 

"Avery, let's have dinner after school today." He says, "dinner?" I raise my right brow. 

"Uh yeah sure." I say, smiling. Inside, I was jumping for joy. "Okay, I will see you later." He gently kiss my cheek.

I want your hug too.

"So in a way he asked you out?" Jordan asks, "oh my god." Casey joins us at our lunch table. "I just heard that Eugene asked some girl out." Casey says. 

"I am so fucking jealous." She stated, "I know who the girl is, and she is really pretty." Jordan then say. They both are smiling at each other. 

This just got awkward. 

"Prettier than you." Jordan murmurs, "ugh. Why wouldn't he ask me out?" Casey groans and walks off. "What a slut." Jordan says. 

"Jordan, don't say that." I say to her, "but it's true." She says in high-pitch tone. 

"Avery Evans, did Eugene Hunter ask you out?" Chloe Johnson approach me. 

What should I say? What should I say?

"Yes, he did!" Jordan replies for me, "let's leave." I say in a low tone to Jordan. We both stood up, Chloe grabs my wrist before I turn away.

"Listen, Evans. Eugene is mine." She whisper harshly into my ear, she then let go of my wrist. I was angry, and confused.

Isaac, Chloe and Casey. They're saying that Eugene is a jerk. Jordan seems to be the only one who ships us together and gotta admit me that I kinda like us together.

The bell ring, we went step into the class for sex ed. It's always about pregnancy and nothing else. Me and Jordan sat at the back, Mr Silver steps in with a box. Probably condoms inside.
