Chi-yun x Reader - Surprise party

 "He's coming!"

A panicked looking Mei Mei ran past you into the training room.

"Wait! No! We're not finished yet." Chaoxin replied, balancing a cake in his right hand. The whole team Wang Hu Zhong and some members of the Beylin Temple were currently decorating a training room to surprise Chi-yun with a birthday party. You came up with this idea weeks ago and wouldn't let your efforts go to waste now.

"You! Go and distract him!" Dashan pointed a finger at you.

"Me? No I ca-"

"It was your idea after all. You're doing the best job at distracting him anyway." Chaoxin said with a wink.

"What is that supposed to mean?" You shot back, but Mei Mei already dragged you out of the room, closing the door behind her. In front of you stood Chi-yun who had just arrived. You felt like you were staring into his eyes for an eternity, trying to come up with something intelligent to say.

"Uuh Chi-yun..nice to see you! How's life?" Yes, really intelligent. You mentally facepalmed. The blader eyed you suspiciously.

"Is it just me or is your attitude a little off?"

"Me? I'm completely normal! Why wouldn't I be? Just living life! It's not like today is important or anything..." Damn it. You laughed awkwardly, but on the inside you were cursing the insignificant crush you had on the chinese boy.

"Ok then, can you let Chi-yun pass?"

"Let you pass?"

"Yes. Let me pass."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Do you really ne-" Chi-yun shut you up by giving you an impatient glare. "But you can't!"

"And can Chi-yun know why?"

This is it. Quick, you need to think of something. But what? Something intelligent, something that is going to erase all suspicion.

"Chaoxin and Mei Mei are heavily making out in there." Or you could just say that.

"Excuse me?" He looked clearly irritated. In addition to that, you heard moaning coming from the other side of the door. Looks like the whole team was listening and simulating to back your lie up. Your cheeks turned a dark shade of red as you tried to think of something more intelligent to say. But Chi-yun wasn't having that. He tried to shove you out of the way. Panic started to rise inside of you and the next thing you did was entirely unplanned. You grabbed his purple shirt with a firm grip, pulling him in your direction. In the blink of an eye, you had planted a kiss on his lips. Words were racing through your mind as you started to freak out. But the kiss didn't last long as you pulled away to see his reaction. His usually confident demeanour had changed to an awkward one. A light pink tinged on his cheeks. After the most embarrassing silence you had ever experienced, he started to talk again.

"Soo..I guess Mei Mei was right.", he spoke barely above a whisper.

"Right? About what?"

"She said that you have a crush on Chi-yun."

At that moment you almost froze up. Oh my god Mei Mei, why had she forsaken you? You buried your face in your hands, not able to handle your blush this time, or face Chi-yun. You made a mental note to never tell Mei Mei any of your secrets again. It wasn't like this was the first time she did this though, so you shouldn't be too surprised.

"You should know that Chi-yun likes you as well." His voice interrupted your thoughts and made you look at him again. You couldn't help but smile when you saw the nervous look on his face.

"Could..I get another kiss?" Chi-yun questioned calmly. You nodded before wishing him a happy birthday and closing the distance between you.
