It's been a few days since my date with Ethan. He's been preparing for his first game so we haven't really seen much of each other, but we have been texting. My mind always drifts off to when he kissed me. It was nice, just not what I was expecting. I was kind of hoping for more.

Becca keeps saying he isn't the one when I told her I didn't feel fireworks go off inside of my brain. Honestly, I think I was just really nervous. I haven't kissed a boy in almost two years, and the last boy I kissed didn't look as good as Ethan.

To my surprise Grayson has kept his mouth shut these past few days. He hasn't called me princess or made a single rude remark in class. I've been so focused on my school work I haven't even had time to keep up with him.

Homework, exams, studying it is all overwhelming me. It seems like I haven't left my desk. I'm in desperate need of some time in the art studio. I pull out my phone and call Max, who answers right away.

"Hey Taylor." He says in a hushed voice.

"Hey, did I wake you up?" I concernly ask. I completely forgot it's almost eleven.

"No, I'm just really tired. Practice was killer today. Ethan is literally knocked out on my couch right now." He chuckles. "What's up?"

"Is there any room for me to come into the studio tonight?" I twirl a strand of my hair, hoping he says yes. "I know I didn't make an appointment, I just really want to take my mind off of my schoolwork."

"We have openings now, usually after ten nobody is in there."

I stop twirling my hair and smile. "That's perfect."

"If nobody else is in there, you could lock the door if you want." He states.

"Okay." I nod as I stare down at my binder. "Thanks Max."

"Have fun." He chuckles before hanging up.

I finally rise from my desk and grab my room key, trying not to wake up Jordyn. Quietly slipping out of my room, I head out to the studio. The cool September air is still and there is not a sound around campus.

It's weird to see everything so empty. Not a single person is in the studio and that heavily excites me. I decide to shut the door and lock it to give myself more privacy. I sit down at my usual canvas and stare at the almost finished ocean wave in front of me. It's almost done, the only thing I need to finish is the shading and coloring.

My dark blue colored pencil has been put to work this past week. I immediately feel calm and relaxed once I begin working on my drawing. I suddenly forget all about my classes as I keep my eyes focused on my art work.

I also try to push Ethan to the side. I know he's super busy with football since the first game of the season is this weekend, but I'm still hoping everything is okay between us. My calmness only lasts about twenty minutes before a loud and aggressive bang coming from the locked door makes me jump.

Frozen for a moment, I hesitantly get up and walk over to the wooden door. The banging just gets louder and louder.

"Open up." I suddenly hear a voice yell from the other side. It's Grayson.

I unlock the door and swing it open. He rushes right past me and begins to frantically look around the studio.

"Where's Ethan?" He quickly asks.

"He's not here," I look at him "he's with Max."

"Fucking great." He mumbles. He turns back around to face me and I let out a loud gasp. His nose is severely bleeding and there is a huge gash by his eye.
