Grayson's POV:

"State your full name please." The police officer crosses his arms over his chest, pointing the video camera in my direction.

"Grayson Bailey Dolan." I look directly into the lens, clenching my jaw.

"Time to begin the interrogation." The man rolls up his sleeves as he sits in front of me. "I have been informed that back in February you were banned from East Carolina University, correct?"

"Yes sir." I nod slowly as I stare at him.

"You were found with a pound of cocaine in your backpack, is that also correct?" He acts like he doesn't know the answer.

"Yes, but it wasn't mine." I make myself clear.

"Can you explain the situation to me?"

"The cocaine was not mine but the dean of the college did not believe me. I only agreed to never step foot on campus again in order to save my girlfriend who was innocent of any crimes." I clear my throat as my eyes move from the camera to him.

"Why would you take the fall if the drug wasn't yours?" He raises an eyebrow.

"I wanted to protect her. She didn't deserve to get expelled if the situation had nothing to do with her."

"Why would she be expelled?"

"Because I was living in her dorm and that was against the rules." I sigh as I look down at the table.

"And how is your relationship with your brother, Ethan?"

"It was fine when we were kids, but our close relationship stopped in high school when he slept with my girlfriend. Ever since, we've had this mutual hatred for each other. He put the cocaine in my bag to get me expelled. He won some game the football players do in order to win money." I shake my head at the thought of it.

"How do you know he put it in your bag?"

"There's proof." My voice is flat as I stare into his eyes.

"Show it to me."

"I need my phone." I hold out my hand.

He nods as he hands it to me. They took all of my belongings when they brought me to the station. I pull up the video, already pressing play for him. He studies the screen as he watches the madness unfold.

"Where is Ethan now?" I force myself to ask.

"He was rushed to the emergency room. We are going to be questioning him once he is stable and in recovery."

"I was furious that he would do that to me. I didn't mean to lash out like that, but I couldn't help it. He ruined so much for me." I run a hand through my hair.

"Your drug test came back clean, indicating that drugs have not been in your system. We aren't going to lock you up since you technically didn't commit a crime. You're just a kid with a hard punch and a shit ton of bad luck." A light chuckle leaves his mouth.

"What about my brother? What's going to happen to him?"

"We're going to look into where he bought the drugs and then take it from there."

"I know where he bought the drugs." I begin to tell him about those shitty people I used to hang out with back in Charlotte. It was about time they got a taste of their own medicine.

"The university has not pressed charges yet for you stepping foot on campus, so right now you're free to go." He turns off the video camera and stands up from his chair.
