The large crowd piles out of the field, everyone heading back to their dorm to continue on with their night. I don't know if our team won or not considering I spent the whole game waiting by the entrance. This entire time I thought Grayson was the one using me, but it was Ethan. I feel like such a fool.

Once everyone is pretty much gone, I see Max walk out of the field. He is all sweaty as he carries his sports bag over his shoulder. My stomach turns at the sight of him when he nods in my direction.

"Hey, what are you doing out here?" He raises an eyebrow up.

I look into his blue eyes and shake my head back and forth. "I thought we were friends."

"We are." He slowly responds as confusion takes over his face.

"Are you sure that I'm not just a random girl on your list?" I snap as I shoot him a harsh glare.

His face completely drops the second I say the word. "You know about the list?"

Everything suddenly comes full circle. Grayson was telling the truth about everything he said to me. "Yes, I know everything." I scoff at him. "You fed me all that bullshit about Ethan liking me when this whole time you knew he didn't."

"He told me to." He lowly says as he looks down, almost ashamed.

My eyes widen as I can feel the fire burning inside of me. "Goodbye, Max." I mumble as I quickly walk onto the field. I spot Ethan packing up his bag and I can feel my anger grow by the sight of him. I march over to where he is standing and take in a deep breath.

"Ethan," I call out to him in an angry tone.

He looks my way and gives me a small smile. "Hey, where were you?"

I don't say a word, I just roll my eyes and keep my hands at my sides. "I just came here to say never talk to me, ever again."

"Wait, what?" He looks super confused. "Why?"

"You know why," I say through my teeth, "feeding me a fake story about Marissa was really low."

He takes in my sentence by clenching his jaw. "You talked to Grayson." I can see his face become tight.

"I know everything, especially about your little list." I try not to cry so I push back my tears.

He shakes his head back and forth. "You're going to believe my brother?"

"Yes, and Max also ratted you out." I snap. "I can't believe you."

His jaw tightens as he becomes more frustrated. "I can explain everything."

"I don't want you to," I take a step back from him, "everything you said or did was just a ploy to get me to sleep with you. Now you can cross my name off of that list because I am never letting you come near me again."

"Okay, fine I'll admit it," he lets out a longing sigh, "at first I was using you for the list, but after our first date I really connected with you. I took your name off of it after that."

"Bullshit!" I yell in his direction. "You never asked me to be your girlfriend because you didn't want that. You wanted to humiliate me and make me look like a fool. Well, sorry but I will not allow that." I turn around and begin to run off of the field. He calls out to me a few times, but I completely ignore him.

I begin my long run ahead of me as I rush off of campus. Suddenly the urge to cry or feel sad washes away. I don't want or need Ethan in my life, especially since he didn't even feel anything for me. My boots scrape across the concrete as the cool air hits my body.
