I walk into psychology early, making sure to get there before Grayson. Things have been a mess since this past weekend and I don't even know how to feel about it. I distanced myself from Ethan because I feel terrible about the whole thing.
Even though I'm not his official girlfriend I still shouldn't have gotten drunk and made Grayson sleep in my bed. And I definitely shouldn't have been close to kissing him. I nervously twirl my hair as Professor Anderson walks in. He places his briefcase down and begins to write on the chalkboard.
"Good morning class, your first exam will be next week. It will be on everything we covered in chapter one."
I realize that class has now started. I look up at the clock and see it is already a little past ten and Grayson isn't in his seat next to me. I find this odd considering he hasn't missed a class so far this semester. I try to shake it off as I pay attention to the professor.
The later is gets, the more I glance at the clock. I can't help but wonder if it's because of me or what happened, then again why would Grayson give a shit about me?
The hour and fifteen minutes drag out and class is finally over. As I am walking out the door, I see Ethan standing across from it. His smile is wide as he approaches me.
"Hey you." He lightly chuckles.
"Hey," I say surprised. "What's up?" I guess I couldn't avoid him forever.
"I just wanted to see you." He places a small kiss on my lips as he wraps his arm around me.
"I'm glad you're here." I smile lightly as we walk out of the building.
"If I remember correctly, you promised me a movie night." He grins as he stares down at me.
I nod and look back up at him. "Yes, I did."
"How about tonight at my place?" He asks with a hopeful tone to his voice.
I think about the fact that I'm going to be seeing Grayson if I go over to their house, something I don't want to do. "Jordyn is going to the library all night, how about we just hang out at my dorm?"
"You would rather hang out in a small dorm when we have my whole house with an actual tv?" He lightly laughs, even though I know he thinks the idea is stupid. Hell, of course the idea is stupid.
"It was just a suggestion." I shrug, realizing my plan is doomed to fail anyway. "Your house it is then."
"I'll come and get you around eight." He informs me.
"Sounds like a plan." I smile as he continues to walk me over to the art studio. Once we say goodbye, I walk into my safe haven and sit down at my usual canvas. Max walks over to me with a smile.
"Hey Taylor, starting a new drawing today?" He asks as he crouches down next to me.
"Painting, actually." I correct him as I pull the drawing of the wave off of the canvas. "I'm going to give this one to Ethan later."
"Damn, you guys must be serious if you're giving him your own drawing." He says with a small laugh.
I bite down on my lower lip before turning to look at his crystal blue eyes. "We aren't that serious, I mean he never asked me to be his girlfriend. Is that a bad sign?"
He shakes his head as he looks back at me. "I don't think so, he told me he really likes you. I've never seen him talk about a girl the way he talks about you. Maybe he just doesn't want to label it."
"Maybe." I mumble as I stare down at my blank canvas. "Has he ever had a serious girlfriend before?"
"Uh," he thinks for a moment, "good question, I actually don't know. He had a few flings here and there at the beginning of last year but it wasn't anything crazy. I don't think he ever really found a girl who he connected with, until you."
