I twirl my pencil through my fingers, staring down at my black leather sketchbook. I've been sitting at my desk for almost an hour trying to come up with something to draw. I always have an idea but ever since yesterday my mind has been clogged.
My stomach aches every time I think of Grayson and how he was just treating me like a game. I shouldn't be surprised, everyone told me to stay away from him and I didn't listen. It's my own fault why I feel so shitty about myself. I run a hand through my messy hair as I look out the window.
The field is already getting crowded for the game today. I put my pencil down on the desk and lean back in my chair, bringing my knees to my chest. The sudden knock coming from my door is a sound I never want to hear again. I turn to look at it, nervous that is might be Grayson trying to persuade me some bullshit.
"Taylor, it's me." I hear Ethan's soft voice call out to me.
My body feels more relaxed as I walk over to the door and swing it open. "Hey." I flash him a smile. He's all padded up in his football uniform and his helmet is gripped around his hand.
"I just wanted to quickly stop by before I head to the field." He smiles as he steps closer to me. "How are you?"
He places his arms around my waist as he keeps his eyes steadily on mine.
"I'm better now." I giggle and wrap my arms around his neck. "Have I ever told you that your uniform is incredibly sexy on you?"
"You might have said it once or twice." He lightly smirks as he attaches his lips to mine. I pull my body closer to him as I feel him smile against me. He slips his tongue in my mouth as I aggressively tug on his hair, causing him to groan.
I add more force to our heated kiss as his hands travel down to my lower back. Detaching our mouths, I begin to place soft kisses up and down his jawline and neck. I'm beginning to feel a lot more confident about being sexual. He bites on his lower lip as he looks down at me.
"Tonight, baby." He mumbles as I pull away from his body. His words leave me slightly anxious as nerves fill my stomach. "I need to get to the game now."
I nod slowly, taking in what just happened. "Okay." I lightly smile.
He places a quick kiss on my lips as he walks back over to the door. "See you there?"
"Yeah." I nod.He smiles one last time as he opens up the door and steps out into the hallway. I take a deep breath as I sit back down at my desk. Picking up my pencil, I begin to do a basic sketch to clear my head. My eyes keep looking out the window toward the field.
The game doesn't start for another half hour, but maybe if I get there earlier I don't need to run into anyone. I get up and put on my boots that compliment my black jeans and white sweater. I rummage through my closet and place a black beanie over my head, which completes the look. Since it is the middle of October, I throw a light jacket over my body.
After grabbing my purse, I walk out of my dorm and into the elevator. I should have just went with Ethan, that way I really wouldn't have any problems. My mind keeps thinking back to Ethan's words, tonight baby. I have a pretty clear idea of what he meant by that sentence and the thought alone gives me goosebumps.
He also has never called me baby before and it excites me. I think when he opened up to me yesterday about his past it allowed us to have a new understanding with each other. I'm glad I found out about Marissa. It made me realize that Ethan is the one for me and Grayson is a pig who was using me.
I anxiously walk through campus and try to keep my focus on the game and what might possibly happen after it. The entrance of the field is packed as crowds of students excitedly make their way through the gate.
