Aaliyah POV

As I closed the door I heard an unexpected noise. It was crying and shuffling.

"Hello!" I shouted.

I made my way to the living room to see Destiny's father trying to help a breaking down Malia.

"Mr and Mrs. Pierce? What's going on?" I asked them.

"Aaliyah?" Mrs. Pierce asked me while tears ran down her cheeks.

"Yea it's me. What's going on?" I asked them for a second time.

"Destiny and Sierra are in the hospital. The doctor told me it was a car accident but he didn't tell me the details. He just told us to make our way to the hospital." Mr. Pierce said.

To be truthful I only heard the first sentence that came out of his mouth. Everything after that was a blur.

"Aaliyah! Aaliyah! We have to go." He said while shaking me.

It felt as if I wasn't even walking inside my body as I walked to the car. I was trembling and I didn't have any words.

"This night couldn't get any worse." I thought to myself.

After we rushed to the hospital we piled into the waiting room trying to find the doctor. When we did all he told us was that Aaliyah was in critical condition and Destiny was going to need surgery. To make matters even worse we couldn't go see them yet.

I plopped down in my seat and broke down. Never did I ever think something like this was going to happen to them.

In a matter of minutes Sierra's family piled into the waiting room. Not only them, but Chris and Dave made there way as well. Dave took a seat next to me while Chris just paced the room.

"Aaliyah." He called out.

I could hear him but it just felt like I was in a daze.

"They gone be good." He told me as he grabbed my hand. I let him know I heard him by squeezing his hand.

After about an hour or two, I wasn't really paying attention to the time, the doctor came out making us rush over to him.

"Can I speak to Sierra's family please." He said. I walked over there with her mother and father because I do consider myself apart of her family.

"I'm sorry but." Was the only words I heard. After that everything went out.

I dropped to my knees and began bawling. I couldn't believe my best friend was gone. All I could think is how I should have been in the car with them.

I felt someone pull me up and take me in their arms. They walked me back over to the chairs while I just cried on the shoulder. I cried myself to sleep waiting on the news for Destiny.

"Aaliyah. Aaliyah." Someone said while gently shaking me. I opened my eyes revealing Dave.

"The doctors said you can go see Destiny." He said and then it hit me. It wasn't a dream. This was real life.
