"Where you at?" Dave asked looking around for the car she described.

"Right in the front."

His flight had just touched down. He loved California, but he was missing his hometown. That wasn't the only thing he missed though. He missed seeing Aaliyah even though they've been FaceTiming everyday and she certainly missed him as well.

"Oh I think I see you." Hanging up, Dave rolled his suitcase over to the grey Lexus.

Admiring the car, he placed his luggage into the trunk and walked over to the passenger side.

Frowning, Dave leaned over into the open window. "Why you still in the car?"

"Can you come on." She begged. Dave walked over to her side and opened the door.

"What are you doing?"Aaliyah asked as he unbuckled her seatbelt. She was simply trying to get out of the busy airport. There were so many cars behind her and she just knew they were inside cussing her out.

"Where my hug at?" Dave asked with a smirk.

"Really? You doing all this for a hug." Crossing her arms over her chest, she glanced at the cars behind her.

"Ion give a fuck about them cars. I would make them wait all day if I wanted to." Pulling her over to him, he engulfed her with a hug.

Aaliyah wasn't used to giving so much affection. It was honestly so awkward. She could probably count on one hand how many hugs she's ever received.

Dave felt the awkward tension she was giving off but he wasn't going to say anything about it. She would have to warm up and that was okay with him.

He quickly, but surely gave her a kiss on her forehead. He didn't want to make her any more uncomfortable than she already was.

Sliding into the seat, Aaliyah watched as Dave closed her door and jogged over to the other side.

"Boy what's going on under that hat?" Aaliyah laughed as she tried to lift it up.

"I just took my braids out." Dave rubbed over the hat. "And don't talk shit unless you gone re-braid it yo self."

"I don't braid for free." Aaliyah joked, tossing her hair over her shoulder as she eyed him. He was looking fine as fuck even though his hair was a bit of a mess.

"Yea alright. I should at least get a discount tho."

"Discount for what. Cause we friends?"

"We a little more than friends I would like to think." Dave glanced over at her.

Aaliyah was quiet as a mouse. She didn't have a comeback for that one. Conversations like this made her anxiety rise.

Already feeling her ears burn, she quickly rolled down the window so air could get in. She thanked the lord she was chocolate or else she would be beaming red right about now.

"Turn right there."

"Right here?"

"Yea."

Within thirty minutes, Aaliyah arrived at Dave's house. He was now doing one of the things he dreaded the most, unpacking. Meanwhile, Aaliyah scrolled through Instagram on her iPhone. She was currently trying to find birthday party ideas for Savannah's seventh birthday. She wanted to make sure this one was one to remember. Especially since all the other times weren't under good circumstances.

"Dave should I do her hair like this or like this?" Aaliyah flipped back and forth between the two pictures.

"Well damn slow down and maybe I'll actually be able to see the pictures." Dave joked.

Dave studied both pictures, but went with the first one he saw.

"Mhmm I think I like the second one. I'm just gone go with that one."

"What you ask me for then." Aaliyah rolled her eyes and went looking for outfits.

"Come here right quick." Dave said, tossing his empty suitcase over by his closet.

Aaliyah got up from the chair that stood in front of his desk and made her way to Dave who was sitting at the foot of his bed.

When she had first entered his room she noticed that it was very simple but sleek at the same time. If she was a man she would want her room to be the same way. Hell, she would honestly have it like this if she had her own place. Just with a few decorations.

Aaliyah stood in front of Dave making sure not to make eye contact with him. He found it cute how he made her nervous without doing anything.

Pulling her between his legs, he grabbed her chin making her look down at him.

"I make you nervous or something?" Dave smirked knowing he would get a reaction out of her.

"No." She said as she scrunched up her eyebrows. Her heart was beating a mile a minute and she just hoped he wouldn't be able to tell.

"You ain't gotta lie."

"I'm not lying."

"So when you gone braid my hair?" Dave asked.

"Whenever you want it done. It really don't matter."

"Alright. I'll keep that in mind."

Beginning to kiss on her collarbone, he trailed them all the way to her neck. Again, this was something Aaliyah was not used to. The kisses were gentle, making her feel a type of way.

Feeling brave, Aaliyah placed her hand on the back of his head, guiding him. She had indeed, been missing out.

Finally having enough of the teasing, Aaliyah brought his face up to hers and connected her lips with his. This action alone, surprised Dave.

He was cracking her shell.
