"I know I already told you, but thank you for coming with me today. It's something I've been wanting to do for a while now." Aaliyah gazed up at Dave as she leaned against her car. They had finally reached Dave's house and she knew all hell would break loose if she didn't return home soon.
Even though the shooting occurred, going to Sierra's grave lifted a weight off of her shoulders. "It was no big deal. Just know I'm always here if you want me to be."
She wanted to kiss him so bad. He always said the right things to her, but it was too bad he was in the dog house. She couldn't just let him off easy or he would feel like he could do it again.
A hug wouldn't hurt. Aaliyah thought to herself before she wrapped her arms around his torso, pressing her face deep into his chest.
Saying their goodbyes, Aaliyah finally got into her car. She buckled herself up and turned on her everyday playlist. Perfect Ten played for few seconds before it was interrupted by the ringing of her phone.
"Your twenty minutes is up and your location doesn't seem to be at the house. Isn't that crazy?" Eric spoke into the phone.
"My bad," Aaliyah said trying not to bust out laughing, " I just wanted to get my guts rearranged before I came home."
Eric hung up the phone pissed off. His mood was all the way fucked up. Not just because Aaliyah wanted to play games over the phone, but because he found out who had shot at his sister.
All fingers pointed directly back to Mike.
Mike was angry ever since he was beaten up by Eric. Although he wouldn't admit it, he couldn't believe that he lost a fight with a seventeen year old, so Mike saw no reason not to get his revenge. Eric had a weak spot for his family so that was always a easy target when going after Eric.
Mike had hired someone to execute his plan since he knew he couldn't do it himself. Hell he was scared to even think about what Eric would do to him if he ever found out that this was his doing.
Back when Eric, Aaliyah, and Savannah lived with Henrietta, Mike had heard Eric's name popping in the streets. He had brought it up to Henrietta a couple times saying that he wanted Eric out of his house. He could give a damn about everyone else. He just wanted to make sure his safety was okay.
"Hey buddy." Gianni said as he slapped Mike's face.
Mike groaned. He couldn't move due to him being tied to a chair. Blood was slowly gushing out of his head from when one of Eric's boys had ruffed him up. He couldn't even think properly. He felt like he had a concussion, but that was the least of his worries.
One thing about Gianni was that he was sweet, although, he could get out of hand easily. Eric believed his built up anger came from his family leaving him behind, but he never brought it up.
"Please untie me," Mike pleaded, " I-I'm sorry okay."
"You fucking touched Savannah?" Gianni asked even though he already knew the answer.
"No... no I would never." Mike lied straight through his teeth.
"I fucking hate liars." Gianni punched him right in his jaw. He kept going at it until Eric pulled him away.
"Chill," Eric looked into Gianni's eyes trying to get him to calm down, "I got the rest aight." He hated seeing his friend like this. Although, times like this rarely happened, when it did Gianni would get out of hand. Yes, Eric did want Mike to suffer but he didn't want his friend being the cause of it. It would only make Gianni's problems worse.
He knew from experience. Eric still had pent up anger from Henrietta and sometimes he couldn't control it, but he was trying to do better.
"Go home, aight. Check up on Aaliyah and Sav for me." Gianni straightened himself up to leave. "And G," Eric called out making Gianni turn around, "don't go cry in the car nigga."
