"One more and then I'll let you go.""Dave that's exactly what you said last time." Aaliyah pushed his head as he tried to kiss on her again.
"I promise this the last one then I'm done."
"Nope. I gotta go pick up Savannah and go grocery shopping and you are going to make me late."
"Damn it's like that?" Dave shook his head as he looked as Aaliyah gathered her things.
"Yep." Walking over to Dave, she gave him a quick peck on the lips before slowly walking towards his bedroom door. She wanted him to walk her out, but little did she know Dave was already on it.
Lord thank you for allowing his parents to raise him like this. Aaliyah thought to herself.
"Drive safe." Dave said as he closed her car door.
Aaliyah waved before buckling up and starting the car.
"Sav you want this one or this one?" Aaliyah asked as she held up two different Oreo packages.
Savannah pointed to the red velvet Oreos as she hummed to a song she had heard Eric play earlier.
Aaliyah set the Oreos in the basket and continued to look down the aisle with little Savannah following close beside her.
"Twenty-three shots to his car, Michael Jordan.
Brrt, bah bah bah." Savannah rapped lowly."Stop singing that." Aaliyah said as she shook her head. One thing she couldn't imagine is Eric with a kid. He was so irresponsible but responsible at the same time. But you couldn't help but to give him credit. He thought he was doing the best thing possible.
"Why? Is it bad?" Savannah asked now deeply confused. Her brother played it all the time but now she couldn't sing it.
"Very."
"But why...why Ewic play it for me all the time?"
"Because Eric don't know no better. Come on Sav. We gotta hurry up so I can make dinner." Aaliyah said as she scooped Savannah up and put her in the child's seat.
"No I'm a big girl. I don't want to sit here."
"I know you a big girl but we got to hurry up." Aaliyah pushed the basket a little faster now that she didn't have to keep a slow pace. Going into the meat isle, she glanced over at the shrimp, squinting her eyes while looking around.
Aaliyah paid no mind when she heard giggling from behind her. It clearly wasn't about her so it wasn't her business even though her nosey side wanted to turn around.
It wasn't until she heard them describe her clothes that she realized the people were talking about her. She didn't recognize the voices so it couldn't be anybody she knew. Turning around, Aaliyah looked to see what was going on.
Two girls were standing near her. One of them held a smirk on there face while the other mugged her. The one with the mug walked over to her.
"I wouldn't even think he would be into somebody like you."
"Excuse me?" Aaliyah asked oblivious to what was going on.
