Aaliyah POV

"Aaliyah bro, we not stopping at Burger King. I'm not tryna have her late no mo. Should have ate at home witcho fat ass." E yelled at me.

Hell I was just trying to get some food but he wanted to be difficult.

"What about Savannah? I think she's pretty hungry."

"Sav already ate cereal at the house. You should've done the same."

"Ion like milk and plus I was trying to get ready."

"It don't take no full hour to get ready."

Instead of going back and forth I gave up. I would just have to starve today.

"Here Lili. I grabbed this banana and yogurt on my way out." Gianni said.

I wanted to cuss his ass out so badly, but I knew better. Last time I almost caught some feelings the way he was choking me out. I feel like we would've kissed if Eric hadn't beat on the door like he was the damn police. But, it's a good thing because again, my main focus is Savannah.

"Bye Sav I luh you." Eric said as we pulled into the carpool line for Sav's elementary school.

"Love you Ewic. Bye Gigi." Savannah waved bye innocently.

"Look, now you got her saying it." Gianni said as he shook his head.

I opened the door and helped Savannah out the car and onto the sidewalk. I let her go after a kiss on the cheek and a 'I love you'. She ran off to one of the staff members who were watching as kids were dropped off.

"So what we doing today?" I asked them. "Y'all told me to get dressed so where we going?"

"We gotta go to work so we gone drop you off at my cousin house." Gianni told me.

"Since when y'all work together and why I couldn't just stay at the house?"

"We've been worked together and because we didn't want you to be bored."

"Why y'all ain't got y'all McDonald's uniforms on?"

"McDonald's?" Gianni asked as he busted out laughing.

"Ughhh we just gone change there that's why." Eric said as he eyed Gianni. He thought he was slick with it but I caught it. If they was gone keep some secrets then I might as well do it to.

"Can y'all get out or do I need to find another parking space?" Eric asked us.

One thing about Eric is he couldn't park. It was always crooked or too close to another car and I would have to squeeze between the two cars to get out and more importantly, make sure I didn't hit somebodies car with the door.

"We straight." G and I both said in unison. We didn't want to make it worse. We'd tell him to find another parking space and then we'd really wouldn't be getting out.

"Alright let's go kids." Eric said as he smiled at us.

"She might appear mean but she not I promise." Gianni warned me.

"K." I simply said as I ate my banana.

"Lemme get a bite." Eric begged.

"Oh but I'm fat."

I handed Eric the banana and watched as he broke off a piece and tossed it back and forth in his hand. He looked around a little before he quickly threw the banana in his mouth.

"Boy what is you doing?" I asked as I snatched my banana back. He wasn't finna be playing with my food.

"What? You can never be too careful." He said as he dapped up Gianni.

"Y'all are so extra."

Gianni knocked on the door and we waited a few minutes before we heard a soft groggy voice come from behind the door.

"Who is it?"

"Me nigga."

We could hear the locks being turned and suddenly the girl I met at the party, Nique, stood at the door.

"Damn, took yo ass time a long time to come to the door." Gianni said with a frown on his face.

"Boy it's early. I was sleep as you should be." She then turned to me and gave me a small smile. "Aaliyah right?"

"Nique?" I asked as I shook my head yes.

"Y'all niggas know each other?" Eric asked looking confused.

"Yea I met her at that party you forced me to go to a couple of weeks ago."

"Oh well in that case." Eric turned to leave and Gianni just shrugged and followed.

"Rude asses." She said as she shook her head and opened the door wider so I could come in. "Girl you hungry?"

"Naw I just ate a little something."

"Good cause I'm finna go back to bed it's too early." She said as we both laughed. "It's food in the pantry if you get hungry and I ain't up yet goodnight." She said as she threw up a piece sign and walked back to where I'm guessing is her room.

It was eight o'clock in the morning and I decided since I didn't have nothing better to do, that I would catch some z's too.

"Good morning." I told a sleepy Nique. It seemed as if she didn't get too much sleep last night.

"Good morning girl. So I was thinking that we could go get our nails done later, what you think?"

"Yea that would be cool. Did the boys tell you when they get off of work?"

"Get off of work?" She repeated as she looked at me confused.

"At McDonald's."

"Girl McDonald's. What the hell?" She said as she busted out in a fit of laughter. "They sure do be serving up them Big Macs." She said putting emphasis on Big Macs.

"Am I missing something?"

"Ask yo brother." She said as she shook her head. "But you want pancakes or an omelette?"

"I'll take an omelette."

"Cool. So what color you think you gone get yo nails?"

"Maybe lime green or purple I don't know yet."

"You should get green."
