Dave and Aaliyah continued to talk as they left out the restaurant. He insisted he walked her since it was getting dark out.
"You doing something for spring break?" Dave asked.
"Um probably not. What about you?"
"Going to Cali with a couple of my niggas."
"Must be nice." Dave cracked a smile. This would be his first time in a while to leave to a different state. Work and family always had him tied up.
"Sho is."
Approaching the car, she pressed the button on the door handle to unlock it.
"Thanks again for walking me." Dave nodded as he opened the car door.
"No problem. And make sure you actually respond to a nigga text this time." Dave said jokingly but actually quite serious. He didn't feel like going backwards. Again.
"I will. I will."
Aaliyah gave Dave a side hug and finally went into Gianni's car that he let her borrow for the night.
Starting up the car, she couldn't help but to smile to herself. She actually had fun tonight and she hadn't felt something like this in a while.
Hearing a ding come from her phone she quickly glanced at it before pulling out of the restaurant's parking lot. Looking down again at her phone, she shook her head as she laughed.

Finally getting back to the place she now called home, Aaliyah jogged up the stairs to Gianni's room to return his keys. When she walked in the room, she noticed both Gianni and Eric playing the game. In Eric's lap was Savannah as he let her hold the controller so she could feel included.
