"YOU!" I exclaim accusingly. "You tried to kill me!"
"Yea, well... I guess it didn't stick because you still alive," Arabella looked me up and down, lips pursed as her gaze landing on her sister in my arms. "Tallica!" She moved forward, but I stepped back.
"You stay away. You tried to kill us both and you said she committed treason," I growled, my eyes turned yellow and stayed a glowing yellow even when I blinked multiple times.
"I had to make it believable," she narrowed her green eyes on me.
"What are talking about?" I asked, puzzled as Tallica shifted in my arms.
"I had to draw out the Alpha somehow and it did, now I know where he and Skye is," Arabella reached for Tallica, but I shifted her away.
"You used us as bait!" I exclaimed, my eyes still glowing yellow.
"Yes, but it was a dire situation," Arabella studied me. "You are mated to my sister aren't you?"
"I don't know what you are talking about and even if I did, it's none of your business," I glared at her. Tallica whimpered in my arms, curling up tighter to my chest.
"Please, I know you don't trust me, but you have to let me help her," desperation filled her voice.
"Fine," I growled and my eyes faded into their normal brown. I followed her into her house and laid her on the couch. Arabella knelt next to her pale form and began to chant. I sat in the chair behind them and watched hoping everything will be okay.

I had just returned home and saw Scott playing with Ethan. He looked up and gave me that smile that made my knees weak. I grinned back as he stood and walked over to me. He hugged me and kissed me on the lips.
"Have you talked to Hugh?" I asked throwing my dance bag next to the kitchen table.
"No, but he was supposed to call me," Scott stared at me.
"Hmm," I glanced away to think.
"Why? Did you see something?" Scott asked, stepping forward.
"Maybe," was all I said as I helped Ethan with his homework.

Pain. What is pain? Everyone in the world has different pain tolerance and views of the word pain. Pain, for me, is where I am screaming for it to stop as the toxin moves through my body. Pain is where I am so delirious that I can't see or hear anyone or anything. A warm hand clasped mine and my mind stopped thinking.
"Please, Tallica," a deep voice distraught with pain enters my delirious state. "If you leave this world, you will take my heart and soul," a shaky exhale and Hugh continued. "And I know I will not be able to live my life knowing my true mate is gone. Please, please come back to me baby...I need you so much more then you think."
My eyelashes blink as I black out once again.

"Tallica, I love you. Come back to me," I lift her pale, small hand to my mouth and place a kiss on the top of her knuckles. I folded both my hands around her small one and press it against my forehead, eyes shut tight.
"I love you too," her raspy, rough voice sounded like heaven. I released a shaky breathe as I let go of her hand and pulled her to me.
"I thought I was going to lose you," I murmured into her ratty hair.
"Never," she whispered as Arabella rushed into the room with a glass of water.
"Here, drink this," she handed her the water bottle.
"Thanks, Ara-Arabella!" Tallica shouted and jumped to her feet. Arabella put her hands up, and I stepped in front of Tallica.
"It's okay. She healed you. She's the only one who could break the curse, and she did," I darted forward as Tallica weaved on her feet. She was still incredibly weak from the wolfsbane toxin. I grab her small hips and sit her down on the couch. "Trust me, my reaction was the same, but..."
"His reaction was not the same, he almost shifted," Arabella butted it.
"I did not almost shift, I was completely in control, but you wouldn't know that because you aren't a werewolf," I cocked my head.
Tallica wacked me in the arm.
"Ow! What?" I rubbed my arm, looking at her.
"Be nice," she murmured, rubbing her forehead.
"She stabbed me with a silver sword, I have a reason to hold a grudge," I grumbled, glaring at Arabella.
"So, why did you say I committed a treason?" Tallica asked.
Arabella explained why and everything, including her age old witch powers. Supposedly, her powers were passed down to her from an old lady in a street alley way after Arabella bought her shoes and socks. Yeah, a little far fetched, but most likely true.
"So, you know about Chike BlackWood's tech that controls werewolves?" Tallica assumed.
"What-what are you talking about?" Arabella's face screwed up, confused.
"The deadly tech he created to control werewolves to take over earth," Tallica leaned forward.
"I had no idea. Why didn't you tell me?" Arabella demanded.
"Maybe because you stabbed Hugh and then tried to throw me behind bars," Tallica spoke, rolling her eyes.
"What does this tech do to werewolves?" Arabella sat across from us.
"It kills them, eventually," I spoke bluntly. "It's made from silver."
"Doesn't that kill werewolves like super fast?" Arabella asked, looking at the scar on my arm were her silver sword got embedded in my forearm.
"Some maybe, but like I said, eventually. It takes a while for the toxin to spread, but when it does...it's not pretty," I think of Crystal and a shiver passes through my body.
"What does it do?" Tallica watched me carefully.
"It turns our fingers black and we loose use of our hands. It hurts so bad we can't touch anything, and you are constantly in pain or you ache," I swallowed hard thinking of the way Crystal screamed.
"We have company," Zaire spoke from the doorway. I jumped two feet high at his sudden appearance.
"Where did you come from?" I asked, but he was gone. Disappeared into thin air. A thump from the porch and that's when I realized what he had said. Another thump, which sounded like someone falling, and I silently walked to the door, motioning for Arabella to stay with Tallica.
