It sounded like two people and they were harshly whispering to each other.  I yanked the door open and gave a roar.  I lunged and knocked one down, seizing the other by his throat and slammed him into the siding.  I could smell them, and my nose wrinkled.  The one I had knocked down put me in a headlock, but he was ripped off of me.  I glance behind me to see Zaire holding him by the nap of his neck.  They were both werecats.  They turned into some type of big cat either a tiger, lion, or lynx.  Let's just say werewolves and werecats do not get along.

"Holy Moly! Man, let us go!  We are Arabella's informants!" the one I held shouted.

I glance over at Arabella and she nodded.  Zaire and I released the two werecats.

"You employ werecats?" I raised my eyebrows at her.

"They get in a lot of fights with werewolves and get a lot of information," Arabella shrugged, ushering us all inside.

I rolled my eyes and went to sit by Tallica, whose nose wrinkled at the two boys.  She looked at me and I snorted at the look on her face.  The werecats sat far away from Tallica and I.  I hide my grin.

"Wait a second," Tallica studied one of the werecats, who had curly black hair.  "I recognize you.  You little son of a witch, you work for him!  You little ba-"

"Tallica!  Enough!  What are you talking about?" Arabella shouted.

"Him," she pointed at curly hair.  "He's in Chike Blackwood's pocket!  He's a dang traitor!"

We all turned to stare at him.

"I don't know what she is talking about," he deadpanned, but he paled.

I watched as he fidgeted then jump up and ran from the room.  I stared at Tallica for two seconds then sprinted out the door after him.  I could hear everyone scrambling after me as I watched a orange and black tiger zip into the forest.  I forced myself to shift mid-run and I gave a howl as I landed on all fours and bounded after him.  I followed his scent to a large, grassy clearing.  I scanned the edges of the woods and I didn't see anything...at first.  I heard and smelled him before I saw him.  He crept out of the tall, swaying grass almost invisible.  He bared his mouth of sharp teeth at me, and I snarled right back at him.  He gave a hiss and a tiny lunge forward.   I snapped back and gave a growl.

(Tallica)

I ran into the clearing to see the two of them testing each other.  I stumbled to a halt as Arabella bolted past me.  I lunged, snatched her elbow, and yanked back.

"What are you doing; Let me go!? I have to stop them," she tugged on her arm, which had no muscle compared to mine.

"Yea, maybe a fight between board members," I raised my eyebrows.  "But not a 250 pound wolf and a massive kitty cat with large claws."  I stared at Hugh and Arabella followed my gaze to the massive dark grey wolf.  "You have never even seen two wolves fight, let alone a cat and wolf.  You are in my world now, sis."

She studied me carefully before looking back at the two, who were still testing each other.  She finally backed down as Zaire came up behind us, holding the other werecat by the back of his neck.

Hugh glanced back at me, and I took a step forward.  Worry and love carved into my face.

I looked back to my opponent and gave a deep howl.  The tiger lunged forward and I ran to meet him head-on.  We collided with a bone-shattering thump to the ground.  I instantly pushed him hard to the ground, but he swiped the side of my head with his massive paw.  I rolled away, but jumped to my feet as he charged me yet again.  I side-stepped and clothes-lined him in the neck.  He wiped out and I landed a bite to the back of his neck.  He roared in pain and anger as he rolled and before I could get away, clamped his jaw on my hind leg.  I grunted and in the background heard a scream, but I grappled and caught his muzzle in my mouth.  I squeezed as hard as I could.  Bones shattered and his jaw was rendered useless.  I pushed him off me, and I struggled to stand.  I watched as the tiger shifted and lay, cloth-less, in pain.  I gingerly sat down, my injured leg on top.  Tallica ran to my side and bent next to my injured leg.  I was losing blood and I needed to shift back, but preferred not to in the presence of women.  Tallica seemed to understand and turned to Zaire.

"Give me you jacket," she held out her hand.  "And your shirt too."  She smirked and he grumpily pulled off his jacket and shirt.  The werecat he had been holding was helping his buddy up and out of the clearing.  Zaire shoved his jacket into her arms.  She layed the clothes over me and turned away.

I focused and pulled my muscles tight and thought of shrinking my bones and muscles.  In a flash, I was in human form.  I groaned and she turned, crouching beside me.

"Zaire, help me get him up and back to the cabin," Tallica helped me tie the jacket around my waist.  Arabella stood back quietly watched her little sister take control of the situation.  She has never seen this side of Tallica, she always saw the irresponsible little sister.

I grabbed Zaire's outstretched hand and he pulled me to my good foot.  I hopped a couple times as Tallica went under my shoulder and wrapped her hand around waist.  I watched as blood pooled on the ground.  It dripped from my ankle to the ground.  I gripped Zaire's elbow and the two assisted me back to cabin.  Zaire took his free hand and pushed the door open.  They helped me over to the couch and I fell onto it.  I started to look my leg, but Tallica seized my chin.

"Don't look at it.  It will only make it worse," her one blue eye and her other green one stared me down until I nodded.  "Zaire, get me bandages and water."

He ran off to get the items and returned seconds later.

"Hold him still," Tallica bent next to my leg.  She set to work and I groaned but didn't move.  I saw Arabella turn away from the scene.

(Tallica)

I appreciated that Hugh was trying not to move, but this part he was defiantly going to move.  I would have set his bone so his werewolf healing could begin.  I grabbed his ankle and upper calf muscle.  I looked up at Zaire and pushed Hugh's ankle toward me with a snap.  He howled and struggled against Zaire.

I moved onto his chest shouting his name.  "Hugh!  It over!  You'll be fine!"

He slowly stopped moving, staring at me, his breathing rough with pain.  I glanced down at his leg to see his tissue already healing. I sighed in relief as I wrapped my arms around his neck.  His hands went around my back, and he gave a rough laugh.

"That was not fun," he coughed again, and I moved off of his muscular chest.

"Well, now since is over, you are healing faster," I wrapped his calf muscle just in cause.

"What do we do know?"  Hugh sat up and flexed his healing foot.

"I don't know," I exhaled.   Hugh started to speak, but the sound of breaking glass interrupted him.
