When he got home, Adrien could smell her perfume all over the sleeve of his jacket. After lunch, they resumed the position they were in during Physics and her smell ended up everywhere on him and he couldn't handle it anymore.

Now or never.

He left his house and power walked to Marinette's bakery, he went in and Marinette's father was at the counter. "How may I help you," He smiled.

"I'm Adrien... I-I need to speak to Marinette... We are physics partners and she has some of my notes." Adrien white lied, he didn't want to tell Marinette's father anything as he didn't know how invested in Marinette's life her father was.

"Sure thing," Tom smiled and lifted the counter, allowing Adrien to walk through. "Marinette's in her room, it's straight down the hall, up the stairs and the second door of the right." He explained.

"Thank you Mr Dupain," Adrien smiled. He walked through to Marinette's bedroom following Tom's instructions. He stood in front of her door and he took a deep breath just as he was going to knock his arm started to tingle Hi. Was the simple message wrote in red ink on his arm. He smiled and knocked on Marinette's door. He could hear shuffling and then Marinette opened her door.

"O-oh... Hi Adrien." Marinette smiled and covered her body, she was wearing a crop top and some joggers, not expecting any visitors. "What are you doing here?"

"I need to talk to you Mari.." Adrien explained and Marinette opened her door further and let Adrien in, she grabbed her jacket and put it on to cover her body a little.

"Sorry I wasn't expecting anybody..." She said embarrassed as she had sewing equipment, fabrics, and paper on the floor.

"Seriously don't worry about it, I kind of didn't expect myself to come here either..." Adrien said nervously, he scratched his neck looking around.

"You can sit on my bed if you want." She told him and he did just that, she grabbed a roller desk chair and sat down across from him. "So... What's up?"

"Last night... You told me you were worried about your soul mate..." Adrien said nervously playing with his hands and he spoke. "I-"

"Adrien what is it? You can talk to me about anything, you know that." Marinette noticed how nervous he was, she sat on the bed next to him and put her hand on his shoulder to try to soothe him. "Just say what you want to say."

Adrien put his hand on top of hers and smiled. "I don't know how to tell you..." Marinette stayed quite giving Adrien some time to gather this thoughts. He turned to face her and she did the same. He reached into his pocket and grabbed his green pen. He took the lid off he wrote on his skin and Marinette left tingles looking to her own arm to see green writing:

I am the end of your string Marinette.

Silence deafened the room as Marinette stared at her arm. She looked back at Adrien's arm which had the exact same note on it as hers did and then she looked up at Adrien who was staring right back at her.

"I couldn't keep it to myself for another moment..." Adrien admitted.

"H-how'd you know?" Marinette spoke nervously this time.

"You draw on your hands in class... I was watching you doodle last week when you were sat next to me and realised the cats you drew were on my finger tips as well." Adrien bit his lip as Marinette sat there dumbfounded. "I-I wanted to tell you sooner, but you told me one night that you didn't want to meet me until you were ready... I wanted to respect your decision. But then the other day, I just wanted to tell you, I wanted to tell you what I knew and I wanted to scream it from the rooftops." She was still staring at him. "P-please say something..."

"You're my soul mate..." She muttered.

"I am," Adrien put his hand on her knee. "But if you are not ready to move forward, just let me know and I will leave, I'll back off as much as I can for you."

"N-no... You don't have to do that." Marinette bit her lip looking at Adrien as she tried to process the new information, Adrien sucked in a breath.

"I told you Marinette... You shouldn't bite your lip..." He couldn't control his actions when he leaned in closer to her and kissed her. She melted into the kiss, allowing her instinct to take over. When they finally parted he looked into her eyes. "Sorry I-"

"Don't apologise..." Marinette whispered. She closed her eyes and this time she kissed him. Adrien wrapped his arms around Marinette's waist and she held on to his chest. "I'm glad it's you." She said she she leant her head on his chest, he wrapped his arms around her and smiled. He couldn't have made this moment more perfect even if he tried.

"So you're okay with me being your soul mate?" Adrien asked her as he rubbed circles into her back.

"I am actually, it's a relief and a shock at the same time... But I have started to grow feelings for you. I just didn't know if you felt them too." Marinette admitted.

"I have feelings for you Marinette... I was scared you didn't have any for me if I'm honest." He said slightly embarrassed, but he was telling her the truth.
