Chapter 5 - A Full Day Learning Magic

Seth knocks and opens the doors. "Boys get up and get dressed. Breakfast is ready and class starts in 1 hour." "Thanks Seth." says Maximus. Max closes the door and Ashton gets up from bed to get dressed. "I'm going to go shower. You can head on to the luncheon without me." "Will do thanks."

During Maximus was showering, Ashton got dressed, made his bed, got a notebook, and left the room. It was his first day to start learning wizardy and crafts. The luncheon room was full with other students eating, laughing, and some of them were drinking coffee while studying. Seth waves at him to get his attention and Ashton walks to the table. "Goodmorning boys. What's for breakfast today?" Ashton was sitting with Seth and Dante. Dante answers "There is bread with butter, eggs scrambled, and fruits." "Awesome." Ashton starts picking what he wants to eat. Dante takes a sip of his coffee and decided to start the conversation since it was only the 3 of them in the table "So Ashton.. he takes a sip and swallows you never told me what kind of witch are you."

After taking a bite of buttered bread and swallows it, he answers "Strega. Most rare to find but considered one of the powerful ones." The boys were talking about different kinds of witches and their abilities. They were enjoying their breakfast while getting to know each other and talk about some of the things they never knew. Seth looks at his watch and wipes his mouth with his napkin. "Class starts in 10 minutes so we better get ready." They all got up and went back to their dorms to brush their teeth. Maximus came to the luncheon late. "Did I miss breakfast again?" "Yes you did." says Seth annoyed. Maximus sighs and takes a granola bar with him. Dante, Ashton, and Seth got to their dorms and brushed their teeth.

The bell rang and everyone rushed to their class. Beatrix, Anamaria, and Gretel were inside the class. "Where were you?" Ashton asks to Anamaria as he got in. "Oh well I usually got to the luncheon room early so that's why you didn't see me." Ashton takes a seat behind Seth but next to Anamaria. Maximus comes in. Anamaria blushes smiling as he comes in and he sits behind her. He smiles back knowing that she was blushing. Ashton looks at him suspicious and Maximus winks at him smirking. Professor Prestridge comes in rushing "Sorry students that I am late but lets begin reviewing. We have a big day tomorrow since we have an exam this week. Now open your books and who will start reviewing the first lesson?" He looks around and smirks at Seth. "Seth.. Seth looks up at him lost. May you open your book and begin reviewing the first lesson?" "Yes sir."

Professor Prestridge was writing notes and reviewing as the morning passed by. "Well it's lunch time. Be back as soon as possible! We still have a lot more to review." Everyone groans and Anamaria accidently drops her notebook. Maximus picks it up and smiles at her "You dropped your notebook." She takes it and smiles "Oh thank you." "Mind if I sit with you in lunch today?" "Uhh.. sure you can sit with me." She smiles and starts heading out the room. Every action Maximus made with Anamaria, Ashton was getting more and more suspicious. He sighs, clears his throat, and starts heading to the lunch room.

(Meanwhile in Lunch) Ashton stares at Maximus having his arms around Anamaria and she's feeding him kiwis. "Guys.. the same boys Seth and Dante looks up at him should I be concerned about Anamaria and Maximus?" "Dude why?" Seth asks confused. "Because I noticed the way they act around each other and Maximus just doesn't seem like a good guy." Dante chews a piece of his chicken salad "Secret is.. he swallows his food they like each other." "I'm not even sure if they are dating." says Seth while eating his food. "All I know is he gets good grades, never got introuble, and most girls in the school likes him. He's not a bad influence so you shouldn't worry about him." Ashton keeps staring at him and sighs "I guess you're right. I just don't want my sister to get hurt." Ashton sighs and thinks about Anamaria's happiness when she's with Maximus.

Everyone in class were writing notes after lunch. Ofcourse Ashton was writing notes but he couldn't quite focus. All he was worrying about was Maximus hurting Anamaria and there wasn't a way to ever make her happy. There were lots to worry about but he also needed to focus on his exam in 2 days. Learning magic and writing notes were his distraction. The bell for dismall rang "Class remember we are going to go outside tomorrow to practice and remember to study your notes! Quiz is on Thursday!" stated Professor Prestridge.

Seth, Ashton, and Dante were all studying in the library that night while somebody..was stroling around the halls. It was Anamaria and Maximus. The frustration was filling in Ashton and Dante noticed and started to get concerned. "Ashton what's wrong?" Ashton blew up and stood up for his table "I can't take this.." He walked away mad and walked to Anamaria. "Anamaria..!" Ashton looked so angrily at both of them but mostly at Maximus. "Hey are you okay?" She looked at him worried. "Go to your dorm..." "What?" "You have an exam in 2 days and I bet it is not multiple choice. I care about you so much and I do not want to see you fail this class. So go to your dorm and study!" She scoffs and shakes her head. "Fine. She replied dry. Bye Maximus." She walked away upset and Ashton watches her. As he turned around to walk back, Maximus scoffs "Dude come on..can't she just do something for 1 night instead of staying locked in her dorm?!"

Ashton's fist was gripping into a ball and he turned around back to Maximus. "Obviously Max I get that you want to spend time with her but I care about her education like you don't. I am her brother. She is under my watch at all times and I don't want her to slack off. She will pass this class and leave to go back home with me. Do you understand?!" he says firmly but calmy. "You don't tell her what do." "And you don't get into things she doesn't want to do!" "Ash she wants to be with me. Let her!" "Maximus I don't want to have problems with you. I care about her happiness." "Yeah so do I!" Maximus crosses his arms infront of him. "If you EVER mess with me or dare to even influence her or hurt her, there are going to be serious consequences. Do you understand?" Ashton released his grip and walked away. Maximus stops crossing his arms infront of him and walks to his dorm to study.
