Chapter 8 - Good Fridays

Morning arised and Maximus tuned to good classic rock music. Ashton was helping him making the bed and cleaning around the room. "Friday's are the best!" Maximus says chuckling. "Yeah, it never gets old to anyone." Ashton smirks as he cleans around. "Hey I'm going to go eat breakfast. Do you mind if I eat breakfast with your sister?" "No not at all. Go ahead. I will see you in class." "Alright." Maximus pats his shoulder and changes his shirt. It was a new change for Ashton. He heard his sister's side of the story and Maximus's side of the story. There was absolutely nothing to worry about. Maximus smiles at Ashton and leaves to go to the luncheon.

In class, it was crafts day which means the class gets to make something with their own magic. Professor Prestridge was playing Three Days Grace while the class was working. Anamaria was making a stone with different materials, Maximus was making jewelry, and Ashton was make a necklace with a cool stone. Class was really peaceful and Ashton wished it could be like this every Friday. The entire class was having fun today especially Professor Prestridge was enjoying the day. Some people joked around and some laughed. It was a really good friday. Professor Prestridge decided to be nice and made salad with cucumber and tomatoes for everyone. He also cooked a special kind of pizza with natural leafs. "Yup it is definitely one of the best Fridays." Ashton said as he ate the pizza.

No one in the class didn't go to lunch. Instead, they all ate inside, worked, and helped Professor Prestridge clean up a bit. "Professor Prestridge?" asks Anamaria curiously. "Yes Ana?" he replies happily. "How are these leaves good to us?" "Well you see he grabs a pizza and looks at it these leafs are no ordinary leafs. These leafs give us protein, strength, and they prevent us from horrible sickness." Anamaria smiles and nods "You're a great teacher Professor Prestridge." By Anamaria's compliment, it made Professor Prestridge happy and she made his day. "Thank you Ana." She smiles and helps him clean up. Ashton's work was done and his necklace came out fantasic. The stone was small and colored blue just like he wanted it. Everyone was finished with their work, the entire class was clean, and the bell rang.

Seth and Dante came out of the classroom cheering since they had a good day at school. Ashton cheers with them and chuckles. Maximus laughs at them and goes up to them. "Hey guys, since it's Friday, I was thinking if you would like to go for a walk around the city? It will be a boys night out." "Sure dude!" Seth replies excited. "Woah are you serious?" Ashton asks surprised. "Yeah!" Maximus smiles chuckling. "I'm in!" says Dante. "Sure definitely!" says Ashton. "Great, I'll go to your dorm but be ready before dark." "Alright!" Seth and Dante highfive as they race to their dorms. "Wait, are we allowed to go outside of the castle?" It was Ashton's first week here so he had to ask since he didn't know what are the policies here. "Only on weekends but on school days, we can't go out." Maximus replies. "Thank god! Ashton chuckles relieved Well lets get ready for our boys night!" They highfive and go to their dorms.

It was already sunset and the boys get ready. Ashton thinks about the girls curiously "So what will the girls be doing?" Maximus puts on a white buttoned up shirt and jeans "Umm I think they will go to each other's dorms and probably watch movies." Ashton nods and puts on a nice white shirt with blue jeans, and black converse. He smirks looking at Maximus "Well I guess we are both matching today." Maximus smirks "Yeah pretty much." They both put on some cologne and brush their hair. Maximus brushes his teeth while Ashton waits patiently. He rinses and dries his mouth with a towel. "Alright Ash, ready?" "Yeah, lets go." Maximus closes the door and locks it with a key as soon as the get out of the room.

Both boys walk to Seth's and Dante's dorm. Ashton is about to knock "Allow me." Maximus smiles and knocks on the door. Seth opens and they all say "HEY!!" excitedly. "You boys ready?" Ashton asks curiously but excited. Seth and Dante steps out of their dorm "Yeah we're ready" Dante says as he locks his door. Seth stretches "Great well lets go." The boys start walking out of the castle to go around the town. Outside of the castle, the city was huge with stores by every block and lights were dim but beautiful. The 4 of them converse with each other as they walk around. Dante interupts "Can we go inside? I'm actually running out of supplies I need." "Sure." Everyone agrees and get inside a department/book store. Dante buys papers and pens.

For the rest of the time there, they all went into different stores to look around and buy some things that interest them. When they got out of the store, a girl with long brown hair and blue eyes caught Ashton's attention. The girl was standing by a bus stop seeming to wait for someone. "Could it be? It can't be..." Ashton's heart racing of how nervous he got. "Umm guys, I think I know her.. I'll be right back." They all look at him confused and Ashton walks to the girl. "Is it you Skye?" He taps her shoulder "Excuse me?" The girl turns around curious "Yes?" Ashton sighs and he looks down "Oh I'm sorry, I thought you were someone else." The girl smiles "Oh that's okay, I get that a lot." He nods "Have a good one ma'am." She smiles, nods, and Ashton walks away from her and back to the boys.

"Dude what happened?" Seth asks curiously. "Nothing, I just thought she was someone I knew." Ashton looks down as he says that. "Well I'm hungry, you want to come with us to eat somewhere?" Maximus asks him. "Thanks but I think I will go back to my dorm. I'm not exactly hungry. Umm I will see you guys later?" They all looked confused at him but understanding. Maximus pats his shoulder "Sure just find us if you need us." Seth pats his shoulder and they all walk away from each other. Ashton walks away looking down and sighs "No, it wasn't you. It wasn't Skye.."
