I watched Nicki run upstairs and i went to the door
Meek: Ma!
The music stopped and she came around the corner looking confused, i think this that Angel lady Nicki told me about.
Angel: sorry to interrupt Ms.Williams, can we come in?
Kathy: umm, sure
My mom looked at me and i went upstairs, i looked in Nicki room and we wasnt in there. I searched her room my room, the guest room and went to my moms room. I walked in her big ass walk in closet and saw Nicki in the back hiding, I went and locked my moms bathroom door
Meek: Nic come here
Nicki: Meek, they are gonna try and take me away.. i dont wanna go, please dont make me go
Meek: i wont, come here
She came out and i wrapped my arms around her.. I wiped her tears
Nicki: i dont wanna go
Meek: we not gonna let them take you okay
She nodded
Meek: you got you phone
She nodded
Meek: alright, go back right there and move behind the clothes more.
She nodded and i walked out and turned the light off. I went downstairs and my mom was arguing with the people
Kathy: she happy here and yall gonna take her way because her mother wants to come get her
Angel: Ms.Williams im trying to*gco*
Kathy: you clearly not trying hard enough if you here
She sighed

Meek: nah, i want you to listen alright.. Nicki been here all of what 3 days, she happy here. Me and her got a bond that i thought was gonna take forever to get, she safe here and you gonna try and take her.. Man ion give a fuck if you call SWAT, you aint taking her

Meek: nah ma, she den been through hell and back a few times.. she had 2 breakdowns since she was here and guess what me and my mama was right there, she feel safe and comfortable here
She looked at us, O came from downstairs and he sat next to my mom. He rubbed her back and i aint even realize she was crying
Kathy: *crying* Amir, they trying to take her from me
He looked back at me, i sighed.. Angel typed on her phone and called somebody, she stepped out
Kathy: Meek? where is she
Meek: hiding somewhere, i couldnt find her when i went up there
Angel came back and i looked at her
Angel: the only other option is adoption
Kathy: ill adopt her... i have no problem doing that
She nodded and pulled papers out her briefcase
Angel: i need Nicki for this
I pulled my phone out and called her

Meek: if need you to come downstairs
Nicki: are they gone
Meek: nah, not yet but mama wanna ask you something
Nicki: okay
She hung up and we waited, she came downstairs and she stood behind me
Angel: Nicki, would you be okay with Ms.Williams adopting you?
Nicki nodded fast and Angel nodded..
Angel: alright, i need a written statement from you Ms.Kathy, Nicki, and you
She looked at me and i mugged her..
Angel: im gonna send this to the court as soon as i get to the office.. hopefully they move fast with this

I screamed as Meek chased me around the house, we were playing hide n see but it turned into tag.. Ms.Kathy laughed at us and shook her head, i finally got out his sight and hid. I saw Ms.Kathy and she laughed
Meek: ma, where she go
Kathy: im not telling you
Meek: Nic, you wanna go to the Gucci or Versace store?
I nodded but covered my mouth
Meek: then we can get smoothies from Planet Smoothie
My eyes few and i covered my face
Meek: then we can go get some Popeyes, i came out and he chuckled and grabbed me
I pouted
Kathy: now take her to all those places forreal
Meek: i will, go get dressed
I ran upstairs and i heard him chuckling behind me

Walking back in the house, we sat at the table without Popeyes. Ma, sat at the table with us.
Kathy: Angel called when yall were out
We both looked up
Kathy: The court is considering it but she still might have to leave
Nicki: and go where
Kathy: she didnt say
She sighed
Meek: Ma
Kathy: i know
Nicki: Ma-... i dont wanna leave
I looked over at her
Kathy: i know, im tryin everything i can Nic. We cant even leave the state
Nicki closed her food and i looked over at her
Nicki: ive never had a mother and i finally get a woman that i can actually look up to as a mother, somebody i wanna grow a mother daughter bond with and im being taken away before the woman i barely remember wants me to come back
She wiped her tears and my mom sighed
Kathy: Nicki come here
She started crying and she left the table but dropped her to knees in the living room. I got up but my mom went over to her and held her
Kathy: i promise im not gonna let them take you, and even if they do ill make sure i see you everyday i can..
I shook my head and grabbed Nicki phone.. I called Angel and flipped the camera,
Meek: i want you to see what you doing to Nicki
She sighed
Kathy Pov
I rubbed Nicki back and she laid on my chest
Nicki: *mumbling* ma...
Kathy: yes
Nicki: please dont let me leave and go with that woman
My heart broke and i kissed her forehead
Kathy: i wont...
