Kathy Pov
I ran into the hospital and wiped my tears, i got on the elevator and went up to Nickis room. Meek was standing outside and i ran towards him
Kathy: she okay
He nodded
Meek: she sleep though, when she woke up they couldnt get her to calm down so they gave her something to help her and it made her sleepy
I nodded and he walked down the hall to the waiting room. I walked in the room and saw they had a IV in her mom and a nasal cannula in her nose, i grabbed the chair and moved it closer to the bed. I grabbed her hand and she slowly opened her eyes
Kathy: you okay
She nodded
Nicki: they wanna keep me here over night
Kathy: Meek told me, ill call the school and let em know..
I wiped her tears
Kathy: why you crying babygirl
Nicki: im sorry
Kathy: for what
Nicki: putting all this stress in your life
I shook my head
Kathy: babygirl, youre fine okay
She nodded and i kissed her forehead
Nicki: are you gonna say with me tonight
I nodded and she smiled..
Kathy: can we talk about what happened with Kim today? We can wait until we go home if youre more comfortable with that
She shook her head and pulled the covers back. I watched as she lifted her down, i saw scars and bruises on her thighs
Nicki: the bruises are from Carol, i had the scars from when they kept, you know. the court never saw them because i wouldnt let anybody touch me..
She pulled it up to her side and i saw more bruises, i wiped both our tears. I ran my thumb over them and she closed her eyes
Nicki: my bathing suit covers the side thats bruised.. i wear the shorts so you cant see the scars
Kathy: Nic, why didnt you tell me
Nicki: i was scared.. i still am but i have you tell you more stuff so you can help me
I nodded and she sighed a little.. She looked up at me and i put my purse down, i pulled my shoes off. She moved back on the bed and i laid with her, she laid on my chest and i rubbed her back. I covered her back up, she was tired and you could see it in her eyes
Nicki: *mumbling* mama
I looked down at her
Nicki: please dont leave me
Kathy: i wont babygirl, i promise..
Later That Night
Meek came back with our overnight bag... He sat Nicki stuff down and Nicki grabbed her phone, the doctor came back in
Doctor: Evening, Onika are you hungry
She nodded
Nicki: i want Chick Fil A or Subway
Kathy: Nic
Nicki: ion want that food
Meek: i wouldnt want that nasty shit either
