Kathy Pov
Nicki laid on my shoulder and struggled to keep her eyes open
Kathy: you can go to sleep Nic
She shook her head
Nicki: im not tired
I shook my head and Meek came around the corner, he sat on the other couch and Nicki smiled
Meek: you tried
Nicki: no, im up..
Meek: when you go to sleep and wake up we still gonna be here
I looked down at Nicki
Kathy: they cant come back and get you okay..
She nodded and she hid her face
Kathy: you here forever babygirl, i promise..
Nicki: *mumbling* okay
I lifted her head and wiped her tears.
Kathy: after i get those papers and we go to court for the last time, we gonna go on vacation.. especially since school starts school
Nicki nodded. Meek looked at me and i nodded

Ma walked back downstairs
Meek: she sleep
She nodded and she went in the kitchen.. I sat at the breakfast bar
Kathy: im nervous about her going to school next year
Meek: i know but maybe we can get the principle to give her the same classes as me...
She nodded
Kathy: she knows O, i want her to be comfortable around everybody else tho so if she cant find you and she sees one of them she know she can go to them too
Meek: yea but ion want them knowing why.... unless she tell em
Kathy: text them and tell em i need them over here tomorrow
I nodded and texted the groupchat, everybody started texting back
Meek: they said okay
Kathy: alright, im going to bed.. imma leave my door cracked for Nicki
Meek: night ma
Kathy: night
I kissed her forehead and she left and went upstairs. I turned the lights off and went upstairs, i check on Nicki in her room and i went in mine.
3am
I woke up to somebody shaking me.. I looked up and saw Nicki
Meek: *mumbling* you good
She shook her head and i lifted the covers, she got in with me and i sat up come. She got comfortable on my chest and she sighed
Meek: whats wrong
Nicki: when i was with Carol... She gave one of the men the house key, one night at like 12 when i went downstairs to get me some water. He walked in the house, he watched me and sat on the couch. Soon as i made it to the stairs, he chased after me. i had to lock myself in the room and put the dresser on the door
I sighed and rubbed her back..
Nicki: *whispering* i was scared and all i wanted to do was call you and ma but she took my phone
