A/N: So my good friend and self proclaimed #1 fan gave me the idea for this ommited chapter.

She asked for a chapter where Annie's dad confronts Brit because she doesn't want to keep the baby.

It's never to late for your own special dedication for omitted chapters. So leave a comment below, okay?

Okay.

This is for Toni.

As I stepped out of the local church the rays of light embraced me and enveloped the immense peace that surrounded me. The peace that drove away the fears that had been clouding my mind.

I feared that the chemotherapy would not have worked. I feared that the baby-our baby-was in danger. And most of all, I feared that Dylan could not handle me being sick and would fall into another dangerous pattern.

“I’m so proud of you,” He put his arm around my shoulder and looked at me like the proud father he was.

“It’s all going to be alright. Okay?” he continued.

"I nodded my head in agreement and proceeded towards my car. Dylan had agreed to have brunch with us at Café Vernice. We drove down to one of the most beautiful restaurants in L.A.

It was furnished with glass and metals. Occasionally, a mahogany wood desk or chair will be inserted into this structural masterpiece and a pop of color to go with it. It was the most aesthetically pleasing building I had been in.

“Good morning sir,” Dylan welcomed my dad with a handshake, and me with a hug.

“Hello,” he replied.

“So..I just want to go straight to the point here. My daughter has been unhappy lately and I am not pleased with that. I am getting the vibe that you are related to it and I will like to find out what is going on.” he continued.

I did a mental spit-take and dropped my jaws. Dylan asked us to sit then started explaining.

“I’m very sorry to have hurt your daughter in any way, and believe me I am extremely sorry. My lifestyle when she was gone caused this whole mess..” He started to choke up.

“…I was getting with someone to fill in the void. I was getting intoxicated. I was partying like I never had. And somewhere in-between all of this I…got a girl pregnant. And I don’t know how or when it happened..”

Breath. Breath. Take slow breaths lungs.

“..but I…I am sorry. The girl doesn’t want to keep the baby. But I want to, and Annie wants to. I have tried my best to convince her, I even told her that Annie volunteered to take care of the baby but she doesn’t want anything to do with our baby.”

Each time he said ‘our baby’ I felt a well of emotions coming up, but I suppressed them by trying to engulf the mountain of food in front of me. I was tired from the rigorous checks in the hospital and I needed my fuel-so I got my fuel.

“That is what is making her upset, well at least a part of it. I don’t know how to undo my mistakes but I know I can try to make things better,” he finished.

My dad had stayed cool, calm and collected through out Dylan’s rendition. His eyes slowly locked with mine then he focused his gaze back on Dylan.

 “Annie, let’s go.” he said.

He started picking up his things and started rushing towards the rotating door. I ran after him and grabbed his arm.

“You can’t be around this. It’s too much for you to handle. He is too much for you to handle!” He quickly said.

“What if I don’t care?” Tears started to well up in my eyes.

“Young lady you think you ‘love’ him, but trust me you cannot put up with all his garbage. I do not want to see you hurt. What if this whole thing happens again? What if he ends up hating you because you caused all his problems?”

“What if the right thing to do is to forgive and forget? You told me that! You can’t be a hypocrite, not you daddy.”

He shook his head and exhaled sharply.

“Promise me you will go into this with your guards up,”

“I promise. Just please help me convince her to keep the baby. The baby is mine now. Do your magic dad, please.” I replied.

We walked back to our table and a teary eyed Dylan smiled at us.

“Give me her number, her address and tell her a special visitor is going to be at her door 8:00 am sharp on Monday,” he said.

Dylan quickly scribbled on a piece of paper and handed it over to my dad.

MATHEW’S (Annie’s dad)’s POV..

A blurry eyed blonde in a huge baseball t-shirt and gold accessories piled as high as her elbows answered the door. She had one heel on and the other in her hand as she spoke to us.

“Can I help you?” she said looking at us in disgust.

Rich kids with nothing but awful manners.

“I would prefer it if you showed some courtesy or decorum. I am here with my attorney and we will like to discuss some issues with you.” I responded with a smile.

She swayed on her heel, had a little giggle and let us in. She showed us to her 20 seat dining room and we sat at the head of the table.

“I am very glad to inform you that my father is a renowned lawyer so this better not be a waste of my time.”

She sat with one of her legs draping across the arm of the chair and the other lazily emblazoned the marble floor.

“My client has notified me that there have been issues regarding your child. The father of the child has pleaded with you to keep the child but you have refused. So, he has decided to take legal actions. Here in section 2.5.b of the human rights law book both parties have to agree for an abortion to take place. Therefore, you shall not be aborting this child or you shall face legal consequences which might include jail time,” my lawyer said.

She laughed and narrowed her gaze.

“Aren’t you the C.E.O of the largest automobile company in town? That means you are Annie’s father. Aren’t you?” she asked.

“I do not see how this is related to our conversation,” I said.

“So this is some scheme so Annie can take my baby? I can sue you for that.”

“You have heard the lawyer. Be wise.”
