I'll Be Waiting •On hold•

Chapter 4: its like she took my breath away.

Kyle's  POV •••••

Today is going to be my first day at work and I'm quite nervous about it.
  Being the managing director of such a big restaurant as 'Brown's restaurant' is going to be a great deal.

   I'm too young to run such a big restaurant.
  For crying out loud I'm just 18.

  According to my dad- 'Son,
you've to start running my business early, so you can learn the norms of the business and one day you would become a successful business man like me.'
    Pathetic.

       After I finished highschool, I decided to have a year break before going to college. So my dad makes use of this opportunity by making me the managing director of one his restaurant in Crowville.

      My dad is one of the richest man in the city of Crowville. He owns three big restaurants. One is situated at New York city, another in India and the last one is located here in Crowville.
     
    I pull into the parking lot of the restaurant with my Black Rolls Royce. The car was a birthday gift from my dad on my 18th birthday.
    I'm putting on a black Armani suit.
First impression matters, so I've got to look good.

    I get down from my car and make my way towards the resturant entrance.When I enter the resturant, its pretty scanty. They aren't a lots of people. I guess it's because its still early. It's just 8:20am.

    "Welcome to Brown resturant, what may I offer you?" A red headed girl who I think is a waitress here questions. She's giving me this flirty look and biting the side of her lower lips likes she is trying beguile  me.

I smile and reply "I'm not a customer. My name is Brown Kyle,the new managing director of this restaurant".
          When she realizes I'm not a customer, she stops the flirty and appears normal now. "Are you Mr Brown's younger brother?" She question, "No, i'm actually his son" I reply. "Ohh, I didn't know Mr Brown had a son" She says.

  "Many people doesn't know my dad has a child" I say, stuffing my hand in my pants trousers.
    "I wasn't informed that there was going to be a new managing director, so I cant take you to the former managing director's office" She speaks.
  "Oh its okay, Mr Brown will soon be here to announce it to the whole staff" I  reasure her.
   "Okay, let me get you a table to sit for now" she says motioning me to come with her.

    She takes me to a table close to the ice cream machine, "if you need anything just call on any waiter you see" She says,smiling slightly. "Okay, thanks" I respond smiling revealing my sparkling white teeth and I can see her cheeks turn red.

Dad is meant to be here. I should text him and let him know i'm at the restaurant already. I dig out my phone from my pocket to text my dad.  I text my dad informing that I'm at the restaurant already.

       After a while of sending the text to my dad, I get a text back from him saying he would be here in an hour time.
I look around and notice that the restaurant is already busy and  lot of people are already at the resturant.

My stomach growls stating I'm hungry. I check my pocket for my wallet to order food but can't find it.
I guess I left it in the car.
I stand up from table to go grab my wallet from car.
        On my way outside the resturant, a brunette waitress(i guess) who is holding two cups of ice cream in her hands walks past me brushing her arm with mine. She didn't even look back to apologize.
I guess she didn't notice it.
    Suddenly she slips and is about to fall.. I reach out to her,to save her from falling.
   Fortunately I catch her and she lands on my arm. Her face close to mine and her eyes shut close.

    She slowly opens her eyes. I feel my throat go dry immediately. I cease to breathe. It's like she took my breath away. She looks so beautiful. Her  eyes are so mesmerizing, I can’t help but get lost in them.
She has brilliant hazel eyes, long eyelashes, full lips. She looks so natural.
     I snap out from my oneirism when I remember we are In the middle of the restaurant and I have to take my wallet from the car.
 
I cough to get her attention back because she seems lost. She jerks of my arm when she hears my cough. She stands next to me and fiddle with the hem of her apron.  To break the awkward silence I ask "Are you okay?" "y...yeh...yes" she stumbles while replying.
"That's good" I reply not knowing what to say next.
"Thanks for saving me from falling" She whispers.
       "You're welcome...." I trail trying to figure out her name "Kendall Jordan" She says, saving me the stress of trying to figure out her name. "Oh okay, i'm Kyle Brown" i say introducing myself.
