Chapter 10: "I miss the old me"

Today I and Kyle will be returning to Crownville. I kinda feel sad going back. I'll forever cherish the moments spents in New York. Thanks to Kyle, I finally fufilled my dream of coming to NewYork.

"Hurry up Kenny!" Kyle yells from downstairs "We are gonna miss our flight"

These few days spent with Kyle alone made me get to know Kyle better. He's a cool guy with a great personality I like.
If I must say, I trust Kyle...alot. These few days just made me believe I can trust Kyle with my life. Even though I was alone with Kyle in the same house he never tried to do anything stupid. I respect that.

"I'm almost done packing" I yell back "I'm coming!"

I'm really going to miss NewYork. Oh well, Crownville here I come!.

It's been three days since I returned to Crownville.
"So you mean Kyle saved your from being raped?" Lizzy asked surprisingly and I nod in response.

I told Lizzy everything that happened in New York, she is my best friend and I couldn't hide anything from her.

"Awwwn" She coos "That's so great of him"

"I know right"

**Beep Beep** Lizzy's phone chime signalizing she has a text message. Lizzy checks her phone to see who the texts is from.
The bright smile she has on slowly falters as she read the text she just got.
"I have to go home" Lizzy says sadly.
"Aw why? I thought you were sleeping over"

"Sorry but Mum wants me to stay with Hunter because she and my dad would be going for one stupid couple dinner and they would be coming back late and you know Hunter can't stay at home alone" She explains.

Hunter is Lizzy's younger brother which is Five years old. He is quite cute.

"Ohh Okay. I guess I'll be alone in this house" I state sadly.

Mum already resumed work, where she works at the hospital as a nurse. Currently mum is at the hospital for a night shift and won't be back home until tomorrow morning.

"You can just invite Alex over" Lizzy stands up from the couch and picks her bag from the center table.
"Alex has a date this night so she won't be able to come" I stand up from the couch to walk Lizzy to the door.

"Oh. Invite Kyle over then" She suggests,
"Neh. He's probably busy right now" I reply.
I don't want to disturb Kyle this night by inviting him over plus it wouldn't make sense if I invite Kyle over being that it's pretty late.

"Kendall he can't be busy just invite him over. I know you hate staying alone in the house" Lizzy opens the door.
She is right, I hate staying home alone. Whenever mum had night shift work, Lizzy had always slept over so I wouldn't get bored or lonely.

"I'll think about it" I reply.
"Alright, Bye" Lizzy says as she exits the house.
"Bye" I shut the door behind her.

"Home alone" I mumble and make my way to my room.
I turn on my laptop and watch a movie so I wouldn't get bored.
After a while the movie ends and I shut my laptop. Okay so I'm bored and i don't feel sleepy. I guess I should just invite Kyle over. I pick my phone, debating whether I should call him or not.

I stare at the number. I'm bored and I need someone to entertain me. I check the time and see that's it's 9:30pm. I sigh and throw my phone to the other side. I don't want to disturb him, he might be sleeping right now. I lay down on the bed and attempt to sleep.

Ring Ring*******
My phone rings suddenly and I jump out of the bed and take my phone and pick up the call quickly not even bothering to look at the name of the caller.
"Hello Kenny" The callers says and I immediately know who the person is. Kyle. And for some reasons I'm really happy that he called me.
