Lucas POV

i couldn't keep my eyes off of her, even if i tried to play a quick game of basketball. i fall on my ass because im too distracted on her throwing her head back in laughter. god, she was beautiful. her long blond hair framing her perfectly tan sculpted face along with those eyes. those eyes had me, they were a blue hazel which i had no idea was even a thing until i saw hers.

"man, go and talk to her or stop staring. the shit is getting weird." i roll my eyes, Alex not even caring that i had eyes for his little sister. im sure it hasn't been the first time, i mean look at her.

"i don't even know what id say." i shrug, leaning back in my chair as i face Alex. finally taking my eyes off of Ava for once, frowning as id never had this difficult of a time talking to a female before.

"hey, i keep staring at you and your brother told me to stop and talk to you so here i am." Alex shrugged as he finished his sentence, mocking my voice as i throw the red solo cup in my hands at him. he laughs shaking his head, glancing over my shoulder probably to look at Aspen. Aspen was a very pretty girl but i couldn't help but feel a strong attraction towards Ava. not to mention from the times i've seen and heard her talk she has quite the personality.

"they've been here for three weeks and you haven't said anything to Aspen either!" i said, pointing my finger towards him before seeing his lips turn upward into a mischievous grin.

"that's because Aspen and i talk when everyone else is asleep." the smile stays on his face as his eyes never falter from Aspen and her jumping around and laughing.

"you slick bastard. you never told me!" i exclaim, throwing my hands up and leaning further back into my chair and crossing my arms across my chest.

"i'm gonna do it." i day simply, standing from the chair and gaining some confidence so i don't seem completely pathetic when i finally decide to approach her.

"good because she's been looking over here." Alex says simply, taking a sip of his drink knowing that his words made my confidence grow a little more.

i take a deep breath before walking over towards her, hearing her laugh from a distance as i bite the inside of my cheek. i reach her as Aspen looks up at me, sending me a smirk as i clear my throat. Ava looks up, the sun reflecting through her unique eyes. she smiles warmly which made my stomach fall, i shake my thoughts quickly and decide to just speak.

"i'm gonna be completely honest and just say i want to take you on a date. i'm not gonna beat around the bush." she grins, her dimple slightly showing. jesus christ, she's so beautiful.

"about time you asked." she sighed, catching me by surprise as Aspen rolls her eyes and smiles. my eyes stay stuck on Ava not able to look anywhere else, she'd been waiting on me to ask. holy shit.

"i'll see you at 8 tonight." she says and looks down at her book before back up so that her eyes met mine. i flash her a smile and nod, turning on my heel as i walk away. i let out a deep breath of relief, now hopefully i can get through tonight without looking stupid.

after a hard discussion with Alex we decided that i wear a white button up with the sleeves rolled up, dark fitted jeans and some nice shoes. i look in the mirror as i decide its on Alex if i look stupid, i spray some cologne before walking out of my room and going down into the living space to wait. i hear slight clicking as i look up and see Ava at the top of the stairs, my mouth not being able to close as i see her in the white off the shoulder flowy short dress, her nude heels and purse, along with her perfectly wavy hair. she grins, most likely from my reaction of seeing her dressed up and not in just a bikini or nike shorts. she looked amazing either way but this caught me so off guard.

"holy shit

"holy shit. you look- holy shit." i let out, making her laugh as she shakes her head. i lead her outside and to my car, opening the door for her before jogging to my side and climbing in. she immediately reaches her hand for the radio, scanning before landing on old justin bieber i laugh and shake my head before she starts singing the lyrics, i couldn't help but join in as she dances slightly. which i couldn't fully see since i had to keep my eyes on the road, how upsetting. i finally parked the car and looked over at her, seeing her fake horrible sing made me laugh and just admire her.

"you brought me to the aquarium?" she questions excitedly, my grin never fading as i watched her eyes light up at the simple gesture. this girl was already doing something to me.
