Garrison High School. Not exactly your dream school, or any place you'd rather be for 8 hours a day, but it was in fact your typical high school. And just like your typical high school, you had all the stereotypes: the bullies, the teachers who picked favorites, the kids who made out against the lockers, the popular hoes, the kids that no one likes, etc.
Keith Kogane was an exception. You might have called him the emo of the school, but really, he was the top of his class. Pidge Gunderson--AKA, Katie Holt-- might have been the top of the class instead, but she didn't try. She was, in fact, much more intelligent than Keith, but she saw school as a waste of time. She made good enough grades to pass, but she didn't like all of the attention. And to be quite frank, Keith didn't either, but he put himself in that position, unwillingly, mind you.
Hunk Garrett was second to too of the class. Mostly because he was exceptional at paying attention and taking notes. Even if he didn't understand the lesson, he made sure to go home and read over everything again.
Allura, head cheerleader, and most popular chick in school. She was the type that everyone liked. It really was hard to dislike her. Even Keith agreed with that. The reason everyone liked her was because she was probably the nicest girl in school and could talk to almost everyone, no matter what social group they were in. Whenever she spoke to you, you had that feeling that you had been chosen by a pure goddess. She was, in fact, a goddess.
Then there's Lance McClain -- considered to be the most popular and hottest guy in school. Conveniently, he was dating Allura. Buuut, he was an absolute dick. At least...Keith thought so.
Keith has just moved to the area in a little apartment his freshman year. After his dad died, he really had no one else to take care of him so he lived alone. Shiro, his brother figure, offered to let him stay with him for a while, but he declined. He never exactly knew why he had before, but now he realized that he had made a good choice by living o his own. He realized that he could get away with things that Shiro absolutely would not allow whatsoever. But...that will be expounded on later.
Besides living alone, Keith owned an orange tabby cat named Red and green parakeet, who he called Jared. Not because he couldn't think of a better name, but because Jared Padalecki was a smoking hot man in his opinion. He had his mental list of celebrity husbands, which of course he would never tell anyone about.
Keith also owned a wine red colored motorcycle. He loved it until the end of time and would barely ride it anywhere in fear that someone would dent it in a parking lot.
Lance was just the opposite of the long haired half korean boy. He was considered fairly wealthy among everyone at Garrison High School. His family was huge and all lived in the same house. That includes his parents, grandparents, older siblings, and nieces and nephews. There was never a dull moment in the McClain household. Allura absolutely loved coming to his house for the soul reason of that it had tiny children and 5 huge dogs. Most of everyone in the house spoke Spanish and could all play some sort of instrument.
Lance had a very nice old model of a navy blue corvette, which he flaunted in public every day by pushing the gas and letting his baby fly around town.
Keith knew as a fact that Lance hated his guts more than anything. There wasn't a particular reasoning for it but the fact that they had absolutely nothing in the slightest in common. They couldn't have a normal conversation without arguing about nothing. And for the most part, they barely spoke unless they needed to.
