Tuesday, 6:30am--

Surprisingly, the house was very quiet when Lance woke up in the morning. He normally didn't wake up this early, but it was like some hunch in his body told him that now would be a good time to open his eyes. For a moment, he had almost forgotten what had happened last night. How could he forget though? Maybe it was sleeping with Keith in his arms that made all of those worries go away.

His eyes slowly began to adjust to the natural morning sunlight breaking through the window blinds on the other side of the living room. Oh right, I'm on the couch, he remembered, looking around after observing the facts. He then looked at Keith's body curled up in his arms, still sleeping peacefully like a baby. His body was dipped in near his hips while he lied on his side. Lance slowly ran his hand along his curves and to his rear where he smirked and gently squeezed it. In response, he only heard a small whine from Keith while he slept. He was almost too afraid to move too much as if he may wake Keith up from his peaceful sleep. But he slowly began to sit up anyway, keeping his eyes on his sleepy boyfriend, his long black sideburns draping over his pale cheeks which were slightly flushed pink. He was probably a bit warm from their bodies being pressed against each other. The way his nose sometimes twitched in his sleep was something Lance hadn't noticed before. It might've only been the second time he had slept a whole night with him. He wasn't very observant the first time.

Lance reached over to Keith and slid his fingers into the locks of his hair, sliding them through its soft, silky surface a few times. He was doing this, absentmindedly, while staring off into space. His attention was caught by a hand stopping his motions, causing him to look down and see Keith's pale hand covering his own. His eyes were violet slits looking up at him, a small smile across his pink lips and white cheeks. Beautiful...

"Well good morning, sleepyhead" Lance said softly, playing with Keith's messy bangs and leaning back beside him again. Keith wiggled around a bit, adjusting the quilted blanket around him so he could face Lance, whose back was pressed to the cushions of the couch. He wrapped one of his legs around Lance's and squirmed to get closer to him, practically waiting for Lance's arms to crawl back over his body.

"I don't think anyone is awake right now," Lance said, moving Keith's hair from his face and tucking it behind his ear. "What would you like to talk about?"

He expected for Keith to say 'I don't know' or to think for a moment for an idea of what he could talk about while his family was still asleep. However, the boy had known exactly what he wanted to say and he said it:

"I want to know the deal with your dad." Keith whispered, his eyes looking sharply into Lance's.

"Getting right to the point, aren't we?" Lance chuckled, looking away. He glanced back at Keith, realizing he was serious and swallowing hard.

"Well..."

It was difficult to find his words when keith's pretty violet eyes were staring in his own, demanding an answer to a persistent and burning question he seemed very passionate about. In this way, Keith was kind of scary.

"My dad...he's always been like this. Well as far as I've known him. He's always had some trust issues as well, especially with his own father. I don't know why, but he's never been proud of anything that I do...he..scares me, he really does. It's hard to conversate with him when all you can think about is that if you say one thing wrong to him, he'll become more disappointed. My mom always told me that I remind him too much of himself when he was in high school. Maybe that's the problem."

"Maybe he just doesn't want you to make a mistake that he did" Keith said gently, holding his hands on Lance's chest.

"Maybe...but that's only half of it...he's always been the more religious in my immediate family and he got it from his grandparents, who did most of the raising when he was younger. They'd always taught him a certain way and I know he can't help that he grew up being convinced a certain way and fed those mindsets, but I just...don't see why he has to take that frustration out on me.."

"Give it some time, Lance..." Keith whispered, looking down. "He's just now finding out your sexuality; you haven't given him much time to think about it. If he loves you then he will accept you. And I think to help him to do that is to tell him how you feel the exact way that you are doing for me right now.You need to ask him what it is the mistake he doesn't want you to make."

"You're right...as always" Lance chuckled, petting the top of Keith's hair and watching it go smoothly under his fingers and back up again. "Thank you"

"And thank you for helping me with my little situation.." Keith added. "Now let me go back to sleep, I'm still tired. I didn't fall asleep until after midnight."

"Okay, okay, I'm going to go make some breakfast now, so when you wake up, just come in the dining room."
