Louis didn't know what to think as he got ready for school.

His nerves were buzzing with excitement for the first time in a long time and he was quick to finish his oatmeal so he could have more time to get ready and be the first on the bus. It was the Friday of the Halloween party, the one the senior class vice president, Sean Dexter, was throwing it at his parents' lake house.

"Tonight's the night," he murmured as he finished fluffing up his darkened lashes with a spoolie.

He knew it was gonna be a long day, that he'd stop feeling so fidgety when the last school bell rang. He heard his phone buzz on his vanity.

good morning, lou. me and some other guys were gonna get somethin to eat after school + get ready for the party at my house. do you want me to give u a ride to school? u can leave your things in my car xx

Louis' first instinct was to send out a "YES, OF COURSE" but he stopped himself short.

Good morning! who are these "some other guys"?

He sent the text and rummaged through his things to get a makeup bag ready just in case. His costume had been hanging on his door since last night and it wouldn't be bulky enough to fit in Harry's trunk.

uh, idk if u remember niall, he's in my history class. him and his friend zayn are coming along. i invited liam and sophia too but they already had plans

Louis felt a bout of relief as he skimmed over the text. He had already known Liam had been saving up to take Sophia to Scarowinds for the weekend, Halloween being her favorite holiday and all, and he didn't know who else Harry would invite.

All he knew was that they weren't the meatheads or anyone from the rugby team.
