Kristen and Louis were walking back from yoga class, enjoying the chilled breeze of late October when the topic of Harry came up.

"God, Jules is doing such a good job. She got me doing positions I haven't done since college," Kristen rubbed at her right shoulder.

"Yeah, my muscles feel like pulled taffy," Louis said lightly, breathing in deeply. They were passing some sort of cafe. It reminded him of how Harry told him he used to work at a bakery in his old town, and that one day he'd teach Louis his recipe for the best lemon meringue pie in the world.

"What's got you all dopey?" Kristen slung an arm around him, the water bottle in her hand hitting his chest lightly. "Did you remember something funny?"

"Uh, no," Louis' cheeks flushed pink. "Just... thinking about someone."

"Ha, ha, that's what I thought, but I wanted you to say it," Kristen squinted at him. "Who? Did Liam finally come around?"

"No! Enough about Liam," Louis rolled his eyes playfully. "Do you remember Harry?"

"Oh, yeah! Did ever find out if he likes boys?" Kristen frowned. "From what I'm observing, I think it's a yes, there's a lot more going on, and why the hell didn't you update me on this."

"Okay, okay, I might've let some details slip through the cracks," Louis bit his lip. "We went on a date a few days ago. And he kissed me? And wants to go out again? Sorry I didn't tell you..."

"Louis William Tomlinson! How could you do this to me?" Kristen twisted her lip in faux contempt. "My own godson won't even tell me about his first boyfriend. Am I really that unapproachable? I thought I was doing a good job!"

"Wait, I'm your godson?"

"You're my something. I just kinda went with that," Kristen squinted. "Hey, don't try to change the subject. When did this Harry thing happen?"

"Uh, it really started at his mom's housewarming party. He told me he liked me then. And he's not my boyfriend, not officially," Louis sighed, scratching his head. "I really like him, but I don't want to look, like, overeager or something by asking."

"Yeah, I see what you're saying," Kristen hummed. "He talked to you first, though. About his feelings. So he probably likes you as much as you like him."

"You think?" Louis sighed. "I just... I don't know. I've never done this before. He invited me to this Halloween party, said we could go together. Should I go?"

"Of course! That sounds like fun," Kristen smiled at him, sifting through her tiny purse to find the house key. "You know you need to get yourself out there more."

"Yeah, because people don't notice me enough," Louis shook his head and leaned against the front door.

"You know what I mean, smart ass," Kristen laughed, plopping herself down on the velvety sofa once they were inside. "Now get me my frozen yogurt. I got strawberry cheesecake."

"Of course, your Highness," he giggled, skipping away to the kitchen.
