I pulled my Raptor truck into a little side road and continued driving, it always felt like this little road went on forever.

I eventually pull into the riders entrance of the race track. Hearing the dusty grey gravel under my tires as my Ford glids over it with ease. "Ok honey, I'm at the track now so have fun shopping with your mom. I'll see you later ok?" I say to Alison over the Bluetooth call from my truck.

"Alright babe thank you, I will, and be safe Em" her soft voice comes from all four of my speakers.

After a few sounds of us blowing kisses to one another. After hanging up I get out, grabbing my gear from the back which sends a sharp pain down my chest, causing me to take a minute. I dont know where that can from but I'm sure it's only a pulled muscle I have been working out a lot recently. After that weird moment, I make my way towards my team, ready for testing of our new bike. Today we're focusing alot on our lap times with an all new bike from Yamaha.

The new bike has a new exhaust fitted, so we want to see if this system works more efficiently then the previous model of bike. We also changed the front end to make the bike more aerodynamic. As well as a new and improved lighter chassis, which should in theory help the bike in the corners. This year we have bigger in takes to increase air flow which in turn increases acceleration, thus making the bike faster. The bike needs to be fast in order for us to put up the best time's in qualifying, so we have a first place grid position to start the race and hopefully get the win. With this new and improved model we can do that. All we have to do is some fine tuning along with the systems and boom we have a championship winning bike.

When I head into the paddock of the test track I see my crew chief Mike and the rest of my team working on the new bike.

I walk over to my team with my gear in hand which consists of my gloves and my mirrored light blue helmet with Ali's name in gold on the front side of it. I had her name put on my helmet as a surprise a few weeks ago, I told her that way I'd have always have her with me, since she doesn't work for Yamaha as of right now due to her pregnancy, we decided it was best she stayed at home.

But when the new season starts she'll be watching from my garage like she has been since we've been dating, once the race started she'd get changed into less revealing clothing and watch the race cheering me on. I can't help but think about when our child will be watching with her.

Im already in my protective race leathers with it zipped down to my waist the hands of the suit tied around my waist too, that way I didnt have to change.

"Hey Mike, how's everything looking" I say putting my gloves down next to my helmet. He turns, now noticing me taking his attention going from the bike to me

"Oh hey Em, it's looking pretty good had the girl running this morning but she seemed to of fizzled out, so the girls have been working on getting her back up and running she's almost there" I nodded walking over closer to see as my best mechanics Hanna and Ella were running diagnostic checks, who by the way are my best friends we all met in high school. I'd met Hanna first as she was born like me, so we instantly become friends and stood up for each other when we were called names. Then in the summer Hanna had met Ella and she started hanging out and meeting up with us alot. These two had been dating since we were like sixteen they were still going strong nine years later. And even after getting married last year, their love keeps getting stronger it's beautiful to see these two who really do belong together.

I hired them not just because they're my best friends, but because they are the best at what they do and this industry needs more females in it so young girls can have real roll models, I want our daughter to be able to see that she can do anything and be whoever she wants to be without limitations.
