13-The Fight

"Marinette!" I screamed, not wanting my dad to know that she was also Ladybug. The outfit she wore kind of made it obvious, but hopefully he would be just as oblivious as the two of us were. If I didn't know that she was Ladybug until she was in front of me and she still didn't know that Chat was Adrien, there was still hope.

"I am Blanc Bug!" she responded, "and I will take your miraculous as well as Ladybug's!"

That was the most idiotic thing I had ever heard. My dad basically had mine since I was WORKING with him and I literally saw Marinette's earrings on her akumatized self. I face palmed. I knew my dad wanted to keep me out of suspicion, but I didn't want to deal with any stupidity right now. If I didn't want to fix things with Marinette right now, I would of just taken off my ring and gone home.

"Marinette, don't make me fight you," I pleaded, really wanting to actually talk to her. Plagg made me ready to resolve everything and I wouldn't be able to unless I turned her back to normal. Having upset her was the worst feeling and I needed to make it up to her, not fight her.

"Shut up, Chat Noir! Prepare to be defeated!" She threw her yoyo at me and I had to deflect it with my staff. I knew her fighting habits too well, so we were evenly matched with our skills, but she was fueled by rage and I wasn't wanting to hurt her anymore than I already had.

She tied me up with the string and I had to extend my staff to get out of her grasp, pulling her yoyo away from her hands. I broke it, trying to force an akuma out, but it wasn't the item. The string wasn't attached to the yoyo since I broke the main part, so I used it as my own lucky charm to try and defeat her.

Once I tied her up partly I looked to what the akuma could be. I knew that everything would go back to normal once she cleansed the akuma, I just started to break things. First was her phone, nothing. I thought over all the possibilities. I couldn't go straight for her earrings, then my dad would know for sure that she was Ladybug. There was this keychain object made out of string that was a possibility. I went to go grab it from her pocket, but she managed to escape.

"Not so fast," she said as she escaped from my string trap. "I'm not going down until I have your Miraculous!"

"Come on, Marinette," I frantically pleaded, doing a black flip to escape a blast. She started shooting black light towards people, causing them to trip. "What are you doing to them?"

"Now everyone will have bad luck!" she announced. The civilians started running into walls and knocking over trash bins.

Way to be subtle about your alter ego.

"I won't let you ruin everyone's day!" I promised, but then I got shot with a beam.
