I awoke the next morning at 5:30. The sun was up and Earl was still asleep, with his arm thrown around my naked waist. We were both still underneath the covers as sunlight filtered through the blinds, landing across our bodies. I wasn't feeling sick so I had to get up and get ready for school. Luckily, Earl stirred in his sleep and moved his arm so I could get up and start getting ready. Despite the fact that Ava was still asleep, I put my black satin robe on over my naked body before strolling into the kitchen. I didn't have to be at school till 7:35, so I had a little time on my hands. I decided to get breakfast started. I opened up the fridge to see what was available for breakfast. I found a carton of extra large eggs, a pack of shredded cheese, a loaf of honey wheat bread and some rolls of ground sausage. I could make sausage patties, scrambled cheese eggs and toast. I also got out some coffee filters and the can of dark coffee. Senior Juarez Dark Coffee, I see the commercials for this stuff all the time, stupid commercial, great coffee. A few minutes later, Earl joined me in the kitchen. He was yawning and running his fingers through his short hair. He, too had on his robe and was barefoot. He let Duke outside so he could find a place to use the bathroom. He came up behind me and snaked his arms around my waist, kissing me on the neck.

"Mornin' sexy", he crooned, as he moved his warm mouth towards my ear.

When he touched me, my body trembled.

"Hey baby", I giggled.

"Damn baby, las' night was sump'n else", he said.

"Mhm", I replied, turning my head and giving him a wink.

He chuckled and gave me a smack on the butt.

"Makin' breakfast, huh?", he asked.

"Yep", I replied, cracking eggs into a mixing bowl.

"Whatchu makin', sweet thang", he asked.

"Sausage patties, scrambled cheese eggs and toast", I replied.

"No grits?", he asked.

"We're out", I replied.

"Well, when I go grocery shoppin' Saturday, I pick some up", he replied.

"My high school graduation is coming up", I said.
