Chapter 52: Ava's Blues

Summer seems to be going by so fast and yes, Ava is due to graduate from summer school. It was a stormy Sunday night, 11:50 to be exact. It was now the 11th of August and Ava was due to graduate tomorrow afternoon at 2:00. It was a small graduation ceremony taking place in the gym of her elementary school and then a luncheon taking place in the cafeteria afterwards. It was a few other 5th graders graduating along with Ava. There were no caps and gowns, just come as you are type of thing. I heard the sound of Ava going into her room and closing the door. She must've been turning in, she had a friend over and they occupied Ava's room and played video games and watched cartoons. Once Earl and I decided to turn in an hour ago, she took her game system and hooked it up to the television in the front and was trying to beat her own score on a shoot 'em up adventure game. Earl decided to buy her an early graduation gift which was a Onyx Infinity game console. He also purchased a game for it, Seek & Destroy I: Enemy Territory. It was game that took place on a futuristic battlefield where you can choose from an arrangement of characters that were soldiers and mercenaries that belonged to an armed unit called "Shadow Strike Force". Well, you can choose a character or create your own. Earl played a round or two with Ava until her friend came over. Anyway, I laid wrapped in Earl's arms with my head resting on his chest after we made love. Rain pelted the windows as thunder boomed and lightning illuminated the night sky. My body was still recovering from my last MASSIVE orgasm.

"I want chu an' Ava ta hang out in my Juke Joint tomorrow afternoon afta' her graduation, how dat sound?", Earl said.

"Are you sure that's okay?", I asked. She's 12 and I'm with child.

"Y'all gon' be jus' fine", Earl replied as he laid a soft kiss on top of my head. Cross my heart, baby.

"I thought you said you didn't want Ava anywhere near your place of work", I replied.

"Well, yeah, I said dat but I want 'er ta see my lil' bidness I'm runnin'", he said.

"What are we gonna do while we're there?", I asked.

"Y'all can jus' chill, eat some good food, I can teach Ava how ta shoot some pool", he replied.

"Aren't you afraid of someone giving you a hard time about a 12 year old being in there?", I asked.

"Hell naw", he replied. An' if anybody got a problem wit' it they can come an' talk ta me. Besides, you was in there at age 14 an' I got's a live performance tomorrow night.

"Really, who?", I asked.

"Me", he replied.
