Chapter 18: The Kitten, Returned?

The moment Koneko woke up, she was in a makeshift cell of sorts.

After Pain's Assault, they found her unconscious in the giant crater and arrested her for treason, murder, etc. She was powerless since she exhausted all of her chakra and energy on the Pain fight.

Naruto resisted against the arrest, claiming that she was the one who helped him find Nagato and saved him from the Nine Tailed chakra. No one believed him since they deemed her actions too severe to overlook.

Sakura was next to argue to say that she helped save Tsunade's life, but since Tsunade was still in severe conditions they decided that it wasn't a strong enough argument to use to let her go.

Itsuo and Toshiyuki came up to say that she almost risked her life to save Kakashi Hatake of the Hidden Leaf, but without a valid witness this claim was brushed away.

That brought her to her current situation in her cell. Who was 'they' you may ask? Well, they decided to step up in front of her cell.

"Look at what the cat dragged in..." the voice said, staring as Koneko laid down with her back towards the door.

"Ah well... I guess the cat's out of the bag." She nonchalantly said, not bothering to turn around, "Of course you already knew I was here, Danzo."

"I just got a sudden rush of deja vu. Haven't we been in this situation before?" He questioned, only receiving a hand to shoo him away, "Such a rude girl. Having no respect for her elders."

He stood there, waiting for a response, but she only laid down with her eyes closed. "Inu-San, its time for my lunch." She spoke, causing Danzo to turn around to see an Anbu ninja holding out a tray for Koneko. She sat up, taking the tray through the slot, "When's my interrogation with Ibiki-chan?" She asked the ANBU, stuffing her plastic fork in her mouth.

Danzo stood there, flabbergasted at her personality. He stood there trying to get information from her and ended up being ignored the entire time! The nerve of that girl! He look at her, but he only saw her stick her tongue at him.

When did she undo the curse mark?!

"I'm right here." Ibiki came to the cell, and allowing more Anbu members to handcuff and blindfold her, "Shouldn't you be preparing for the Kage Summit?"

'Kage summit?' She thought, 'Why would Danzo be going to something like that?'

The ANBU roughly tugged her handcuffs to lead her to the interrogation room, "Ah~ You can do it harder. I won't mind." She winked at the ANBU, but with her blindfold on they couldn't really see. The other ANBU tightened her blindfold and caused her to chuckle, "If you're into this stuff, I won't mind. I'm a flexible person- OUCH!"

Ibiki hit her on the back of the head, sighing at her antics, "We're here."

"Really?" She questioned, looking around even though she was blindfolded, "I would have never guessed! I felt like I was in Takigakure!"

The Anbu in charge of her cuffs helped her sit down, "Thanks, Gazeru." She turned towards the other Anbu and nodded in thanks, "Tsumiki."

Ibiki and the Anbu's eyes widened at the sound of the two names. Not once did she see their faces. She didn't even meet these specific ANBU operatives before this moment. She was blindfolded the entire time! They all jumped at the sound of a small laugh from Koneko. She only placed a finger on her lips which caused both of the Anbu to tackle her into the table, "How did you get free from your cuffs?!" Ibiki shouted, slamming his hands on the table.
