Chapter 25: The Alliance, Teamwork.

The Ten Tails created a tailed beast bomb, accidentally hitting itself as the barrier was extremely durable and held most of it's power in. Koneko almost felt like it was aimed at her specifically... the way it looked at her...

It was the intent to kill.

Since nothing was controlling it, the beast had an autopilot where the command was to destroy anything. However, the moment it's eyes met Koneko's, it turned into an intent to kill her specifically.

After the bomb's energy had dispersed, all of the shinobi charged in, including her, "If I'm able to make it to the Ten Tails, I may be able to do something about the rampages." Koneko said to her teammates who nodded in confirmation.

Her body flickered to Shiro, however the Ten Tails was able to track down all of the place she'll land and would always block it with giant clones. This was as annoying as ever. Using Shiro was not an option.

She notices Sakura charging ahead, using her brute strength to take down the clones one by one, however she never notices the onslaught that continued to hit the alliance.

Koneko quickly jumps in and cuts down the giant clone about to attack Sakura with the help of Sasuke's infernal style and Naruto's wind chakra coating her sword, "You've been working hard, I'll give you that. However, when there's a battle you should never stop." She said, causing Sakura to back up as more clones surrounded them, "Keep your guard up at all times. It's war, not a competition."

Sasuke lands near them, causing her to exclaim, "Sasuke-kun!" which caused Koneko to grimace, 'And here I almost complimented her...'

Naruto launches a hand up, catching Sai mid-air, "Is this Sai?" Koneko questions, "I've heard a lot about you. You're a lot nicer in person!" She grabs onto his hands, helping him stand up.

He nods weakly, "You're..." he looks at her closely. She actually looks extremely well in his opinion, other than the fact that she looked a bit tired, "...Very pretty." He complimented, giving her a smile.

'He didn't insult her?!' Naruto and Sakura questions, seeing as Koneko and Sai hit it off immediately.

Sasuke turns away from the scene, biting his thumb to get ready for a summoning jutsu.

Team 7, excluding Sai and Koneko all summoned giant beasts, also known at the Deadlock Trio.

Looking at the giant summonings of her teammates, Koneko whistled lowly as she craned her neck to even see them, "We can make it to the Ten Tails quickly." Sasuke offered, turning back to Koneko who was on the ground, "If you can do something about this, you're the main priority."

Naruto nods, "Just climb on!"

Koneko shook her head, "I have my own beast, but thanks for the offer!" She shouted, seeing Sasuke and Naruto make their way straight towards the Ten Tails.

Instead of doing the summoning jutsu, she promptly transforms to Niji and allowed Hironori to take control. In a large poof of smoke, a giant demon cat appeared in the middle of the battlefield, baring its teeth at the Ten Tail's clones. Koneko cheers happily, giving the cat a giant bear hug, "Yuki! You've grown so much!" She snuggled into its fur, ignoring as it chewed through the clones without remorse, "My little nekomata..." she cooed, petting it as it continue to rampage. It purred happily, swinging around it's split tails which had also knocked out a few clones in the process.

The cat that Koneko had originally given to Hidan to raise was set back to Mt. Nekomadake and ended up turning into a nekomata as it was exposed to Hidan's religious sacrifices. It's tendencies became more violent and it secluded itself deep in the mountains. Until today though.
