A Protector and A Hunter

Prologue

(Viggo's POV)

"You too, dragon. Get out of here." I ordered the Skrill, only to get a roar in return, "Suit yourself." I turned away from the dragon, setting my sword ablaze before walking into the tunnel where about ten hunters stood, crossbows ready. As I turned to look at them, some seemed surprised to see me others seemed intimidated. When I heard the growls of the Skrill behind me, I knew that at that point I wasn't the only one the hunters were intimidated by. In no time, I raised my sword and charged the men, the Skrill roaring a battle cry. The arrow wounds in my back were screaming in pain, but I'd have to endure it until this was over. I took down two hunters with my sword before another, kicked me from behind, causing me to fall forward and hit my head on a rock, blacking out.

(Skrill's POV)

I fought many of the hunters that were attacking me and my new friend, knocking them to the ground. As I looked around, I couldn't see my new friend, but I did see all the hunters now advancing towards me. I growled, charging a large amount of electricity before firing all throughout the cave. When the smoke cleared, all of the hunters were lying dead on the ground. I grew worried and sniffed around, trying to find him. Suddenly, I smelled blood and followed it to. Finally, I found my friend lying on the ground under a couple dead hunters. Careful not to hurt him, I moved the dead hunters off of him and picked him up, carefully placing him on my back so as not to hurt him. As quick as I could, I exited the cave and flew into the sky. I didn't look back as I flew away from that island, bringing my friend somewhere I knew he would be safe.

<Now this my first fanfiction that I've let be in public, so don't criticize too much.
