(Viggo's POV)

I sat against the base of a tree, looking out into the darkness. I repeated Melia's orders over and over again in my head, knowing that what I was doing wasn't what she told me to do.

"Why should I listen to a woman I don't know. Whatever's out here can't be as bad as she made it out to be if she left me." I thought, leaning my head back against the tree. I closed my eyes, listening to the crickets chirping around me until suddenly, they all stopped making noise. I opened my eyes and looked around at the dark surroundings. A low growl sounded from in front of me and I turned my head to see a pair of glowing green eyes staring back at me (Like the picture above, but green). My eyes widened and I adjusted myself so that my back was pressed painfully close to the tree behind me. I winced at the pain from my arrow wounds as I watched the eyes that stared at me, unmoving. We stared at each other for a few minutes before the eyes closed and the rustling of bushes sounded, the creature moving on.

"There you are!" a familiar female voice cried. I turned my head to see Melia, her Night Fury, and the Skrill landing next to me. "You alright? You look like you've seen a ghost."

"No. I think I just saw a dragon."

"Well, that makes sense. There are dragons all over this island."

"Not one I've ever seen."

"Well, let's get you back to the cave and we can talk all about it." Melia remarked, the Skrill walking up to me and crouching down so that I could climb onto its back.

"That's... a good idea." I stated, standing up and mounting the Skrill. As we took off, I looked back down at the forest, wondering what dragon species the creature was and if it was the reason Melia had ordered me to find shelter, why didn't it attack.

(??? POV)

I watched as the human flew off on a Skrill, Melia leading him away from the forest. The thought of why Melia was helping that evil creature bombarded my mind. It disgusted me to think Melia would help a dragon killer. I watched them disappear above the tree line before turning towards my home. I spread my wings and launched myself into the air soaring over the trees.

"I have to tell the Elder. At least then, my family, my people, will be safe." I thought to myself. Hopefully, the Elder would be able to convince Melia to see reason.
