"What's wrong?" Michael asked me, his blue eyes glistening in as they caught the light. He looked so sweet and defenceless lying next to me on the bed, a far cry from the night before.

"Alexa you're scaring me now. You're not pregnant are you?"

"Jesus Michael we had sex last night how the hell would I know that already?"

"I dunno how it works, do I? I've never been pregnant"

"You're dumb" I smiled, slapping him playfully on the arm. Why couldn't I do this? I didn't want to hurt Michael but I just couldn't bring myself to call it off with him. A part of me enjoyed spending time with him and letting out some of my frustrations after being around Ashton. I was being incredibly selfish.

"I had fun last night" Michael piped up, interrupting my train of thought and pulling me down beside him. I allowed him to wrap his arms around me and we lay there for a little while in silence.

"Did you?"

"Did I what?"

"Have fun last night?"

"Of course I did" My answer wasn't a lie, last night had been amazing and for a little while I had forgotten about Ashton and those cute little blazers he wore and those beautiful dimples of his. I had to go and see him today, maybe I could make things work between me and Michael if I could let go of Ashton.

"You wanna do something today then? The new Thor movie is out. Do you like those kinda films?"

"Yeah, only because I've got a huge crush on Loki"

"Same" Michael chuckled, "so is that a yes?"

"Okay"

"I'll check the times and stuff then" Michael grinned, excited that I had agreed to go out with him again. I was the world's worst human being.

After dinner I excused myself from the flat and told the guys I was going down to the library for a couple of hours to study when in fact I was heading out to search for Ashton. It was a Friday afternoon and we didn't have class today but that's the first place I headed. It was no surprise to see that he wasn't there and I realised I hadn't actually planned this through very well. I couldn't think of anywhere else to look and I felt like I would seem incredibly suspicious asking at reception, even though hundreds of students probably did the same on a daily basis. The sun was shining through the front entrance, almost guiding me into it's direction and somehow I allowed it to, making my way outside and believing that fate was showing me the way. There were several students outside, eating lunch, smoking, but there was no sign of Ashton. I wasn't going to give up though, I had to see him before I went out with Michael again tonight. I had to find out whether or not he had been about to kiss me yesterday in the classroom.

"Lex?" Came that all to familiar voice from behind me. I spun around, coming face to face with Ashton who was dressed down for once. He was kind of punk out side of the classroom; his Rolling Stones t-shirt was covered in holes, as were his skinny jeans. I smiled up at the sight of his usually tame hair pushed back by a red bandana.

"Who the hell are you? Surely you're not the same guy who teaches me law?" I teased, unable to stop myself from staring at his arms. Ashton's biceps were incredibly defined, I wanted them around me right now.

"Yep. It's me. I'm not just a law lecturer you know. I do actually have a life outside of work and this is how I like to represent myself on my days off"

"No. I like it... It's just... surprising" I bit down on my lip, trying my best not to tell him how hot he looked.

"You busy right now or you wanna go grab a coffee?"
