I had taken Luke's advice and dressed up, slightly. I had dabbed a bit of face make-up on and scrunched my hair up into a loose bun. Luke had approved at my look; he said it was subtle and sexy which sounded good to me. As I made my way to the lecture I could practically hear my heart beating but I waltzed into the room oozing confidence and took a seat at the back of class, hoping to stay as far away from Ashton as humanely possible. He had watched me walk in, we made awkward eye contact for a brief moment and then I hid myself behind another student's head.

The rest of the lecture was spent taking notes and trying not to focus on Ashton's beautiful face and incredibly sexy accent. It was difficult to concentrate at times but I managed to make it through the three hours without any kind of trouble. When the class was dismissed I rushed out of the door with a crowd of people, refusing to even look back.

'Wanted to speak to you' A text from Ashton popped onto my phone almost immediately after leaving the room. I wanted to text him back but I decided to let him sweat a bit. I pushed my phone back into my pocket and walked back up to the flat in the hopes of crawling back into bed.

'Stop ignoring me Lex. We have to be civil if we want this to work'

'Want what to work?'

'Your course. You want to carry on studying then you will have to talk to me'

I was fed up of texting him already; it was just making me miss him even more. I wanted to hear his voice when he was sleepy, I wanted to stroke my fingers up his chest and play with his fluffy hair. I wanted to feel his lips against mine and snuggle up under the duvet beside him, our legs wrapped up together.

"Knock knock" Luke smirked, peering into my bedroom. I was lay face down into my pillow but I heard him approach the bed and sit beside me. "I'm guessing it didn't go too well?"

"It went fine" I muffled into the pillow. Luke flipped me over to face him and raised his eyebrows suspiciously.

"Then what's this all about?"

"I just- it doesn't matter"

"Yes it does" he flicked his shoes off and patted my legs, "Move over" he ordered, clambering underneath the blankets next to me.

"I ignored him the whole time, I even waited a while before texting him back but-"

"He text you? Saying what?"

"That if I wanted to carry on studying law I would have to be civil with him"

"Is he threatening you?" Luke asked, clenching his fists.

"No. I don't think he meant it like that. I just miss him, Luke. He's been so cold towards me and I thought we could just get along. He was the one who was an arsehole so why do I feel like I'm the one in the wrong?"

"Don't you dare think that! Just ignore him from now on, okay? Don't let anything he says mess with your head"

I cuddled up to Luke and lay my head on his chest; why couldn't I have fallen for Luke on my first day? Maybe we could be the ones dating right now. Luke was sweet, funny and so hot but we'd already placed each other firmly in the friend zone and there was no going back. And of course, I was madly in love with Ashton.

It was Tuesday afternoon and I had the day off so I had planned to spend it in my pyjamas watching romance movies and crying into my pillow but that had to be altered when I realised we had no food in the flat and Luke had already gone out. I forced myself out of bed and grabbed some clothes before putting on a bit of make up to make myself look human and leaving the house.
