"What are you doing here?" I blurt out, still in shock to see Ashton at the student bar.

"I could ask you the same question. Pretty sure I gave you an assignment to complete" he replied, crossing his arms to assure his dominance over me again.

"I have started it you know. I'm just here supporting my room mate. He is up on stage and wanted me to come along"

"And you're leaving half way through his set? Not a very good friend either by the looks of things" Ashton moved in front of me, blocking the exit. I scowled up at him, starting to get annoyed at his petty little remarks. I knew full well it would be a mistake to argue back with him but it was taking everything I had not to say something.

"Does he even know you're leaving?"

"I'm leaving to do your dumb assignment ACTUALLY" I finally snapped, shoving passed him to get outside and into the fresh air. I could hear his footsteps behind me but I decided not to look back, I didn't want to make matters worse and being around him was definitely going to do just that.

"Alexa, wait!"

"What?" I hissed, spinning round to face him. One look at that face and I immediately calmed down; it was impossible to stay mad at a face like that.

"I'm only doing this because I care you know. I want the best for my students and I hate to see them throw their education away" he explained himself, giving my arm a slight rub. It was pretty awkward between the two of us and I couldn't figure out why.

"Listen, sir. I get that-"

"You can call me Ashton if you like" he flashed me a quick smile and then stepped back towards the club, "I should probably let you get back"

"Okay. I'll see you Monday then I guess"

"Bye, Lex. Have a good weekend"

Lex? Fucking Lex? Did he just give me a cute nickname? My heart was racing, I was so relieved to know he didn't hate me completely but to hear him call me Lex had sent me over the edge. I pictured myself chasing after him, slamming him up against the wall and ripping those suspenders off him... I hadn't had a crush on a teacher since I was 15; I felt like a schoolgirl all over again. I made my way back to the flat, a little bit embarrassed by my own thoughts.

When I woke up I found myself being carried through to my bedroom by Luke. I must have fallen asleep at the dining table and he must have just got home.

"You can put me down if you want?" I muttered, causing Luke to jump. He placed me onto my feet and opened my bedroom door.

"Did you enjoy the show? I didn't see you leave"

I wandered over to my bed and crashed down against the mattress, signalling for Luke to lie next to me.

"Of course I enjoyed it Luke! You were fantastic and I was so proud. I can picture you up there in front of crowds of millions of people"

Luke leaned up beside me, grinning from ear to ear at my comment. The thing is, I wasn't just saying it to be nice. Listening to a Luke's voice was like the sound of ocean waves on a clear summer morning.

"Really? That's the dream"

"And I have no doubt it will happen to you. Just don't forget about us small people, hey?" I teased, nudged his side and causing him to squirm. "I bumped into my tutor tonight"

"Where?"

"As I was leaving the SU bar"

"Why was he there?" Luke asked, slightly baffled that a tutor would want to go for a drink surrounded by students.
