ALEXIA POV
*****
The end of the day came, and I met Madi and Elle on the bus The bus pulls up to Elle's stop and she gets up but turns back around to Madi and me.
"See you later girls," Elle yelled then proceeded to walk off the bus.
Once the bus stopped at our stop, Madi and I got off. She called her sister to see if she can come over.
"My mom said that I can't come over today. Maybe you can come over tomorrow." Madi said.
"Ok. See you tomorrow, Madi," I told her, and we walked our separate ways.
I walked up the driveway and I unlocked the gate. I walked into the house and set my bag down by the door.
"Mom, Dad. I'm home." I shouted.
"Honey. Come here. We are in the living room." My dad shouted back.
I walked over to the living room and my parents were sitting down, waiting for me.
"What's wrong?" I asked when I saw the frown on their faces.
"Honey. Nothing's wrong. We just wanted your opinion before we make this decision. So please hear us out." My mom said.
I nodded.
"How would you feel if instead of giving you your allowance every week, we put it in a savings account for college?" My dad asked.
"That is a great idea," I exclaimed.
It was one of my dreams to go to college.
"Ok. And since we're going to do that, we wanted to know if you would like to go around the neighborhood and see if anyone would like someone who would babysit or clean their house for money. Like a part-time job." My mother asked.
"That's fine. I like that idea. Since I have no homework, I'm going to start on that now." I said.
"That's great. We have one more thing to tell you. Since you'll be getting a job and you would have to take the bus and we don't want you doing that, we bought you a royal blue Jeep. Have fun." My dad said.
"Really?! Thank you!" I exclaimed.
I wasn't 16 yet, but my parents had some pull and were able to get me my license before I turned 16. Don't worry, I was a good driver.
I went out and for an hour and got a lot of doors slammed in my face. I reached this huge gate, one larger than mine in the richer end of the neighborhood. The whole neighborhood is rich, but this is the richest part. I press the buzzer.
"Hi. My name is Alexis, and I'm looking for a job. Maybe as a housekeeper or a babysitter." I asked.
"Ok. Come in." The girl on the other side said.
The gate opened, and I walked up the driveway. The front door opened and out stepped a pretty girl with long dark hair
"Hi. My name's Kaylie. Come on in. I'll go get my mom." Kaylie said.
I walked into the house and got shocked by how pretty it was.
Kaylie ran up the stairs and came back down 3 minutes later with her mom.
"Hi. I am Demi Lovato. You must be Chad's daughter, Alexia, right?" Demi said.
"Lexi or Alexis, but never Alexia. How do you know my dad's name?" I asked her.
"He works for me. He's my assistant." Demi said.
"Oh, okay. I was wondering if you would like some help on keeping this place neat and as pretty as it is?" I asked.
"Sure," Demi said.
"Just like that? No background checks?" I asked.
"Nope. Well, normally, I would but, you're Chad's daughter." Demi said.
"Okay, great," I said, happy that I found a job.
"You're so pretty," Kaylie said all the sudden.
"Thanks," I reply.
"Here is a list of the rules," Demi said as she handed me a paper.
1. Be here at 3:00 p.m. sharp Mon-Fri
2. You can start on homework when you get here if you would like but you do not have too.
3. Your shift ends at 9:00 p.m. Mon-Fri

7. The code to the gate is 020502, The code to the door is 020502
"Thanks. I've to go now. Can you give me a ride?" I asked Demi.
"Sure," Demi said
We reached my house and we said bye.
"See you tomorrow, boss," I said joking around.
"Bye Alexis," Demi said as she rolled her eyes.
Laughing, I unlocked the door and walked in. I walked up to my room to get ready for gymnastics. Once I got home from gymnastics, I trudged up to my room and I tried to change out of my leo. I barely had the energy. This new coach we had was killing us. I crawled into my bed and put my phone on the charger, completely forgetting to set an alarm.
